Panpour III - habitable planet or gas giant?
« on: 30 January 2013, 08:54:37 »
The inhabited planet in the Panpour system is identified as the 3rd planet, and in Handbook: House Davion it's said to have five moons.

This conflicts with the BattleCorps story "The Theseus Knot" where Panpour III is clearly described as a gas giant, and its large gravity well is also mentioned.

Requesting clarification.

(My initial idea was that the inhabited world would be a moon of the gas giant; but that seems irreconcileable with the notion that it has 5 moons itself. I'm inclined to think that the gas giant referenced in the BC story is in error and should really be Panpour IV... but without an official word that'd be pure speculation.)

Generally sourcebooks trump BC fiction. Sounds like we goofed on the fact check for the BC story.

Sorry.

Thanks for the answer.
Can you elaborate on whether or not there is a gas giant in the Panpour system at another orbital then?

Nope. If it's not written, then it's not written. That would probably be the easiest fix, however we are not in the habit of doing errata on fiction.
