"Death Trap" Hover Vehicle

Here's my first attempt at designing a vehicle, its probably been done before, but here it goes anyway:

The Death Trap is a 5 ton hovercraft that has a top speed of just over 280 km/h (ie moves 17/26), and is equipped with an Inner Sphere Medium Laser and a Clan Improved Heavy Medium Laser, giving it a pretty good 3 to 1 damage to weight ratio.  It has only minimal physical armor, but if you also consider speed as armor, then you could say it has more than enough "armor" to survive.

For many opponents it would indeed be a pain.

I'd counter it with Area Effect weapons to allow the TMM to be ignored. Any Artillery or Artillery Cannon would do, while for Mine Clearance Missiles, the SRM version launched from MML9s or the LRM version launched from LRM15s or 20s would be an instant kill shot. Of course, those aren't always available - well, MCMs are when I'm running 'Mechs and vehicles  ;) - so that would leave many struggling to get a hit.

Thanks for the critique, while it may not help with Area Effect Weapons, I'm thinking that a version with Clan ECM might be a better option to the IS Medium Laser, since it can make the Death Trap double as a "C3 blocker" while it's running circles around an opponent that is potentially C3 capable.  Going a bit further, a version with just an Clan ER Small Laser, a Clan ECM and a Clan Light Active Probe, might also be a good variant that can act as a cheap scout.  Going even further, and taking a page from the Celerity, a variant with just a Clan ECM and a C3 Slave might be an even better option since it can act as a C3 blocker to hostile C3, while also potentially providing you with targetting data for your own C3 network.
