None of the osts have been done. Nor has the Vulcan. At least, I couldn't find them when I built my mechs of the kickstarter list.

Is there an article on the Salamander (mech)?

The latter is actually my fault. I had a Vulcan article well under way when I finally hit my 'enough' point on doing this, and it ended up set aside about 75% done. It's probably saved somewhere, but not in a condition to be posted. Happy to let someone else take a run at it (and the Osts, of course), my guess is that it would be in better hands at that point anyway. Fun, odd little design that deserves top writing.

Since it doesn't appear that there's a current PPR Salamander mech article, I'd be happy to write one.

I don't see one anywhere, which means if there is one, it's so old that it's hard to find- so there might as well not be one.

Go nuts, looking forward to it. Always a unit I'm dismayed to see on the field in either my Falcon or Marik costumes.

Got bored on a work call and dug up the remnants of the Vulcan article. Needs updating with late models and some tweaks elsewhere, but I'll try to have it up tomorrow if I get time.

So, what other mechs are we lacking articles for?

Ost mechs, a lot of the new IS rec guide mechs (Scotty covered them pretty well in his rec guide series but the links are messed up still iirc), Jenner IIC, Clint, Mongoose and Guillotine.

I never got an answer on this.  I briefly considered trying it myself, but it’s busy season at work right now, so I probably wouldn’t have time until January at least.

Has anyone done the Deimos? It’s definitely not listed in the Articles directory thread, and searching titles only gives me a short, 12 year old “Talk to me about”.  It’s…it’s not a *good* mech.  But it is interesting.  Worth an article, certainly.  If no one else wants to, I could try my hand, but I play so little that I feel like it’d be heavily slanted toward the fiction, and not as insightful about the tabletop as most of y’all would be.

I could have sworn there was a Clint article somewhere. I even started one years ago and abandoned it because it had been covered.

That's going to drive me batty now. Crud.

I'll give it a look later on and if there's not one popping up, I'll give it a look-over, but it might be a bit.

Doesn't look like there's a Clint article. There is a "Talk to me about Clint IIC" but that's all.

I'm using my magical admin powers to look and see if it just ceased to be in the long-ago crash, but honestly if it's that far back, it needs a new one anyway. Being that it's only got half a dozen variants, I'll probably fold in the IIC as well and make life easy.

...eventually, when I get a spare few minutes.  :blank:

Feel free to make new articles. It is unlikely i'll find any interested in improving those, and i don't want the old ones around.

Nobody has commented on my MOTW: The Masters thread. I'm feeling ignored here, especially since some of the opinions I expressed should be controversial.

I suspect that the name is throwing people off.  I didn't realize it was talking about C3 Master systems and thought it was a reference to Paul Master's Phoenix Hawk or a mech that The Master piloted.
