Renzi's scouts happened upon the convoy halfway through their transit... the OLF is well over the horizon.  Plus, the vehicles left by the Star League were specifically designed to return the salt pan to its "natural" condition after landings, touch and go's, and take offs.  They can certainly handle a simple convoy of 'mechs and vehicles...  ^-^

Very true... the base assumption is that they're ALL pirates.  Renzi is an exception in that he returned the Wolf Skinner's isolated personnel and some compensation for the rations he took.  Maybe it's just because he hasn't been on world long enough...  ^-^

Lieutenant Maninder Ranjeet is about to join the unit as a PC!  He was the original Major Skinner's "lance commander" in the Command Lance (i.e., he did all the paperwork, the Major did all the Commanding).  He was following his father's footsteps into 'Mech engineering when he happened to cross paths with Anton Marik's "'Mechs for Loyalty" campaign.  The rest, as they say, is history...  ^-^

Stats are almost done, and will be posted when settled... soon, honest! :)

Also are both CT ML facing forward?

and where did u get space for the LT ML, dropping a ton of LRM ammo?
and if so why is that not noted in the mod?

Ranjeet gets to tweak his 'mech because he spent XP on a University education in Engineering.  If you want similar tweaks, you should hit him up!  Also, Major Skinner (the original one) approved doing the AL conversion in house because it was cheaper to do than doing it the "approved" way.  :)

Dang it, and I forgot to mention one of the MLs is still facing aft.  What I listed was the time and effort it would take to flip it around.  The good Lieutenant is more than happy to leave it as is, since he can get to 21 points of damage with lasers facing forward... :)

Any sane MechWarrior would want both big mediums facing forwards.  Rear ones are largely not as usable, since penalties aren't worth it being fire vs turn arm and fire.

Frankly, one guys in my RPG/Warchest group on a MegaMek campaign, get super disgruntle about rear firing anythings.

I'm not sure anyone pilots a Merc Battlemech is fully sane..  If we were we would sell the Mech and retire somewhere fun..   8)

Ahem...

There are two stock models Daryk.

PNT-8Z
PNT-9R

Ones older SL-tech, the other cobbled together DC-tech.

Both have same weapons, just different electronics.

As it was the -8Z had it's Tronel LL replaced by the Lords Light PPC when redesigned. All -8Zs got upgraded.

So, fluff wise, it could be an ancient -8Z more so than a -9R.
