Hoping to hear what everyone thinks here...
Played with my 3d printed terrain for the forward operating base for the game at the FLGS tonight, and had a player question me about the heights of the buildings.  He was referencing the Battlemech Manual pg. 22

"The level listed in a building hex is how many levels the building rises above the hex it is in"
Thats the rule in question

The way the rules read, is that the map has Level 3 Printed on the Walls and Buildings, which are on top of a Level 1 foundation, so the tops of the Buildings and Walls would be at Level 4 it seems.  (Mech standing on top would have LOS of Level 6)

What do you all think?

Just got answer to this on the official Catalyst Server and just gonna post it here for future reference, in case anyone does a search for it in the future...

It appears that portion of the rulebook was written when the map sheets had both the terrain level height and the building height printing in the same hex where buildings were located.

With the newer map designs, the printed level is the total level of the building height (underlying terrain + building height added together)   Here is a pic of what the older map sheets building hexes looked like

So, the way the rulebook reads refers to the older style of map sheet where you would add the levels together, but the new maps just have the total levels printed on them
