I'm looking forward to that.  The Exterminator is a personal favourite...

Given how quiet it is, i'm thinking another article could be fitting.
Not sure what though. I've been toying with the idea of writing about the Wight but not sure about that yet, likewise i've been thinking about the Naga and O-Bakemono but frankly i don't think i know enough about artillery. Also the Dark Age Colossals are interesting, but nothing to be done on short notice. A 'Mech from HBS Battletech game would be nice but every single one has been written about as far as i can determine!

Difficult decision.... were there any requests?

The HawkWolf and Pathfinder have never been done. And the Trebuchet is lost to the sands of time.

Mmm. The Trebuchet has too many variants. My keyboard seems to have been damaged while moving to my new place, it has trouble capitalizing letters (with left shift). Go figure. So, not keen on writing too long articles.

Personal preference would be the Hellspawn or Chimera but... well, too much writing, again.
A 'Mech i've been considering is the Kheper but not sure about that.

I'll take a look at the Pathfinder, seems simple enough, despite not being a big fan of retrotech.

We still need an article on the Roadrunner.

Well, i missed that. I barely even remember the 'Mech exists  ::)
Someone else can tackle it, perhaps at the proper day to boot. I wrote the Pathfinder as a stop-gap, sorta. Starting tomorrow, my time will be taken up by need to organize everything (all my stuff is scattered all over the place still!) and playing HBS' Battletech.

Nicely done, never even heard of the pathfinder.  I'll pump out the Black Watch seeing as there's no article for it and its quite a simple one to do.

Is there an article about the Sarath? I looked in the article index, but search turned up nothing.

Thanks!

Can I request a MotW on a specific model of Trebuchet? I'm interested in the TBT-K7R "RepoMech", and its immediate ancestor, the -XK7. They're distinct enough from other Trebs that a standalone article seems justified to me.

There doesn't seem to be a Trebuchet article in the first place.

(I think someone said they have long-term claim on the article for the 'Mech until they get around writing it?)

Some of those 'long term claims' go back a few years, and sometimes to people who don't even come here anymore. To me, that's ridiculous- if they're going to write the article, do it, or let someone else.

See if you can find the person who wanted to do it, send them a note, if you haven't heard back after a reasonable amount of time just go for it.

Can we stop with the extra bits in the titles? Early, late, doesn't really matter, but it makes it a little hard to search for an article when they all have the padded titles. Just post it when it's ready, no one really minds if it's not right on time- there's no set timetable anyway.

There's an old Mad Cat Mk II article, but there have been five variants for the mech published since then.  Maybe someone would be interested in doing a new write up?

I had requested the Blackjack some time ago.  Seems like someone said they’d get to it but that was....I’m not sure, probably over a year ago.  If no one wants it, I might give it a whirl myself, but I actually play (tabletop or MegaMek) so seldom that I don’t really feel qualified to do it justice on that side of things.  Anyone want to give it a shot, or should I?  (There is one old article listed on the reference thread, but it’s from 2004, so it would be woefully out of date even if it isn’t lost to the sands of time)

New rule, dibs on article writing expires if you don't do it within 60-90 days?

Then let's give everyone with Dibs 60-90 days (90 seems the better option) to prep an article or drop it.

Wow, yeah, that would be me on both counts.

Since I really meant those "dibs"... what, 5 years ago? and RL may get hectic come June, what about this?

Trebuchet May 25
Blackjack June 1

Would that work?
