I've seen it, but I've also seen assumptions that Kirk Cousins isn't staying with Washington and only has Denver as a logical destination as well.
That move just... eh. It makes sense in that he's a clear improvement from the three stooges currently in Denver. He's also not a clear improvement in terms of the amount of money he'll be drawing in. The price has been set high by Snyder, and while he's not a bad QB he's also not exactly Drew Brees, you know?
Thing to remember: The three-headed blundernaut that is the Denver QB corps right now, bad as it is, is also cheap. Neither Siemian nor Lynch earn a great deal per year, and while Osweiler does he's earning most of it via Cleveland's payroll. It may be a difficult sell to bring in someone as high-priced as Cousins, even if we assume at least one of these three is gone by training camp (Osweiler, most likely- Lynch probably buys more time and another chance by dint of being drafted so high and recent). Bear in mind that Denver's GM position is pretty solid- it's hard to conjure, even as bad as this team is, that they'd fire JOHN ELWAY. But ownership is a little different- Pat Bowlen has advance Alzheimer's disease, and his son is currently steward of the team, but whether he'll be interested in throwing a lot of money at a QB is anyone's guess.
Strange times in the Mile High City, for sure. Even in the McDaniels era, I can't think of the team having this many big question marks hanging over it.
