The Word of Blake's Jihad was perhaps the most indiscriminate series of attacks since the First Succession War, sparing neither citizen nor soldier. A retired soldier learns there are some threats you can't defend against.

This one is likely to be depressing. Buenos Aires was largely depopulated by a 'magic bullet' bio weapon.

Yes, it is sad, but a good story.
Nevertheless, Buenos Aires seems to be recovered. Given FM: 3085 the world is listed among the habitable worlds and the Second Canopian Cuirassiers are stationed here.

I think you misread/misremember that. They were stationed there. The Second is posted on Detroit in 3085. And Buenos Aires doesn't appear on the maps.
