===Overview===
In the 3080's Clan Goliath Scorpion began development on an improved version of the Elemental battle armor. Like the so-called Elemental II used by other Clans it exchanges the obsolete Small Laser for an AP Gauss Rifle. However, it deviates from the Elemental II by eliminating unnecessary features in order to increase the SRM-2 launcher capacity from 2 salvoes to 3. The anti-personnel weapon mount is retained, with the Mauser IIC IAS being the most commonly used weapon.
The Scorpion variant came to dominate the medium battle armor contingent of the Imperio and the later Scorpion Empire, so much so that the Scorpions simply refer to it as an "Elemental."
