This LAM isn't an attempt to have a do anything monster it's focused in design.
The peregrine is a LAM meant to do three things. Number 1 combined scouting and artillery spotting. Number 2 rear area strikes on logistics assets and artillery. Number 3 in the situation when an enemy is using an unusually large or difficult natural feature to stall an advance the Peregrine's will fly over it before landing on the other side and peppering the enemy from behind with extreme range fire to distract them aiding in allied advance.
The Peregrine is Max allowed LAM weight of 55 tons. As a LAM is not supposed to stand and fight anyways it has a composite frame to save a little more weight. In hopes of protecting it and it's transformation mechanism from damage it mounts 11 tons of armor basically the max it can. Ground speed of 5/8 with an air speed of 3/5. Not the most spectacular but good enough. Has just one gun in keeping with it's role a single ER PPC. As this is a LAM with all the fragility this implies the PPC is used at max range if possible. This is supported by several things a targeting computer as well as accurate weapon quirk to make it possible to engage at long range. This LAM also has improved communications to better serve it's role.
