Quickscell, always wanting to make a 'quick' buck, decided to go into the PPC vehicle business to directly compete with the beloved Schrek. The Quick MechHunter is however a wheeled vehicle rather than tracked and it moves much faster at 64kph. The vehicle only carries two PPCs, Donal models. This is also to let the vehicle serve as spare parts carrier for Warhammers, Thugs and other mechs which carries the Donal PPC.

Twelve and a Half tons of armor protect the vehicle from damage and makes the tank fairly well protected.

Coming in a hair under 3 million C-Bills Quickcell hopes that the vehicle will sell well.

Ok  I buy it, it's better than the Schreck.
Sure 33% less fire but  chances are high that it survives 33% longer.

I thought you were just being funny until I looked at the wiki...Quickscell really doesn't bother with CASE at all on anything they build...  :o

Long ago, I used to play an ICE version of the Schrek. If you replace the Fusion Engine for a ICE of same rating and eliminate one PPC, you have a poor man Schrek. The number of heat sinks is the same, by coincidence.

Maybe it requires minor adjustments in the armor but I am not sure.

The way I have this vehicle pictured is much like the regular Schrek except that the LRM launchers are each wrapped around one of the barrels of an AC/5. This provides an overly complicated feed system that can jam at inopportune moments.

The combined firepower nearly equals (or does equal on a lucky attack) the firepower of the regular Schrek, but for a cheaper package (not sure how much cheaper though).

Sarna has the AC version as stripping out the PPCs, switching to an ICE engine and using the remaining tonnage for armor, 3 AC/5s and 8 machine guns.

Take the Quikcell carrier chassis and add a turret mounting three light ppcs with capacitors.  A 180 fusion engine with 20 extra heat sinks and seven tons of armor means you can match th Schrek in speed, armor, and sometimes firepower.

All with a cost of- *checks calculator* 2,924,000 to the Schrek's 3,829,500 price tag.

Bad tank and the guy responsible for the TRO should feel bad, too. Why not just 3 machine guns in the turret.... we are talking about 12.5mm Gattlings to 35mm autocannons- two would be enough ... not to mention that 3 main guns will always drive me nuts.

The following was accomplished only by eating several dozens pieces of chocolate - and its still a poor build:


The problem is that the Shreck is not supposed to have machine guns and autocannons, the Demolisher with its "possible" non-explosive ammunition bins is an AC carrier.

However: a Schreck is a Mech Hunter... it should not deal with light armored combat vehicles or infantry, it should schreck Mechs. And as such it should combine fire power with adequate range.
So two 10 point damage weapons, say a AC10 and a PPC (also removes the issue of minimal range) for cost of some range.
This allows the usage of an ICE and to make things even better - reduces the weight to 75t

1,659,188 CBills - the Zhukov is more expensive.... unfortunatly the Zhukov is already a poor mans Schreck  ;D

So a basic Alacorn tank costs sixteen million C-bills for 3 gauss rifles and five tons of ammo moving 3/5. Quickscell looked at that and said "Hey, We can do better! And cheaper too!"

Hence the Jericho gauss rifle carrier. A wheeled chassis means a smaller fusion engine (No XL engine here!) and that means its cheap! Very Cheap! 2.8 Million C-Bills for this fine vehicle! Fifteen Tons of standard plate protect the machine from harm, quite respectable. Two Gauss Rifles and five tons of ammo mean each gun gets twenty shots to toss down range.
