Odd page formating involving avatars.
« on: 01 February 2011, 14:09:17 »
Hey DS. Not trying to kill what I'm sure is your wonderful mood in regards to the new forum,  ::)  but I noticed an odd thing while viewing the forums. Some posters that have links in their signiture (like yourself) when I mouse over the link it causes their post window to shrink from the size necessary for the avatar to the size only necessary for the text. Same for my own avatar at the top of the page when I mouse over the "Show new replies to your posts." link.

I've attached a screencap with date and time to show you what I mean.

OS: Win98SE
Browser*: IE 6.0.2800.1106
ISP: AT&T DSL

(* required by my job)

I doubt it relates to the OS but possible a browser issue? (McKenna's login doesn't do it using WinXP SP3 and IE8)

Edit: Also the forum seems a little slow... maybe just me but I thought I'd mention it.

I checked into this today -- apparently the default SMF skins do NOT officially support IE6 anymore -- shocking given the amount of IE6 and even NS4 garbage left in the javascripts.

My new skins when/if I get them done SHOULD rectify that problem... though right now it's slow going on those as I've got a lot of other stuff on my plate.
Death will take those who fight alone.
But united we can break a fate once set in stone.
