The Undead Lance Pirate/Mercenary lance arrive on Solaris VII with its pilots taking part of the Lance Championship. The Undead Lance piloting four experimental designs take the championship by storm and quickly gain a reputation for making head shots and engaging in physical attacks. This reputation ultimately back-fires on the lance as in their Semi-Final they encounter a lance of warriors from the Draconis Combine.
Traditionally warriors from the Combine had been most hated on Solaris for their “Warrior Code” believing that enemies should feel shame for defeats, enough shame to give their lives in battle even in games on Solaris, with the arrival of the Clans the Combine warriors had been less feared but still their legacy remained.
With the Undead Lance's reputation built over the span of several games their opponents showed them no mercy as the four Combine built Mechs led by an experimental Ookami Heavy BattleMech tore into the Undead Lance. With the pilot of the Cadaver the first to fall quickly two other Mechs fell as the Undead Lance had no choice but to surrender their duel.
Following the battle the Undead Lance's support personnel protected by the unit's commander Morana Tichy piloting her Mortis BattleMech quickly removed the remains of the three destroyed Mechs and their Aurora-class DropShip quickly removed them from the planet.
Clan Wolf assault
Rasalas, Marik-Stewart Commonwealth
Former-Free Worlds League
19th September 3099
In a resumption of hostilities in the Former-Free Worlds League Clan Wolf debut a brand-new BattleMech named the Shadow Wolf. This Mech a one hundred ton assault design is built using standard structure, gyro and fusion engines built at the refurbished Ford Military Limited Factories on Ford carries a range of advanced Clan weapons including a Gauss Rifle, a Rotary Autocannon, a Long Range Missile Launcher and an Arrow IV Artillery Missile System.
This Mech unlike others in the Wolf arsenal the Shadow Wolf is designed to support other BattleMechs in the field more than complements the Wolf strategy of combined weapons fire on enemy targets. It is also uses a lot less resources than building a new OmniMech design or a design using advanced construction materials allowing Wolf engineers to quickly convert the facilities on Ford. Two days after the fall of Rasalas the nearby system of Bainsville falls to a Wolf assault further strengthening the Wolf's drive towards Keystone and the valuable BattleMech factories there.
The Periphery War, Peace Negotiations
Fronc Reaches/Magistracy of Canopus

After weeks of peace negotiations the Star League Defence Force negotiators assists the Magistracy of Canopus into brokering a peace deal with the Fronc Reaches, backed by the firepower of the SLDF, the negotiators warn off the small periphery state in an effort to stabilize the Magistracy of Canopus. But even as the SLDF assist in ending part of the Periphery War the Magistracy of Canopus continue to be threatened by the War as the Marian Hegemony launches more assaults on Marantha and Gambillon capturing both systems while further afar other nations have other plans.
Nadir Point, Recharge Station Hasek One
New Syrtis, Capellan March

As the SLDF attempted to help settle the Periphery War with words the AFFS had other plans Field Marshal Nathaniel Hasek stood on the gravity deck of the massive recharge station, Hasek One, one of the remnants from when the New Syrtis system held a place of importance to the Capellan March. He could barely hide his smile as he watched the FSS Black Prince and four other WarShips emerge from their Hyperspace Jumps.
Thirty minutes later small craft from the WarShips brought the First Prince and his command team on board the Hasek One there the First Prince's team briefed the assembled House and mercenary regiment commanders. “Ladies and Gentlemen, the Taurian Concordat have assaulted our worlds, seized our property and our people.” Victor Steiner-Davion said looking around the officers beside him stood the Marshal of Armies Sora Higginson and Field Marshal Carver Felsner, the Head of the Department of Military Intelligence. “However they are not our true threat” the First Prince explained deferring to Felsner.
“The DMI have uncovered a Maskirovka sleeper agent within the Taurian command network unfortunately we cannot identify who this person is, but we believe that he or she is the architect of the attacks on the Capellan March.” He said “we have also discovered that the Capellans are shipping advanced weapons to both the Taurian Concordat and the Fronc Reaches in an effort to support the Periphery War and provide both of these nations with the confidence to launch a war.” They said some of the warriors appeared to be aware of these facts possibly briefed en route to the Capellan March by the First Prince and his advisors while those who had been based within the Capellan March looked angry.
“In essence the Capellans have begun these proxy conflicts that we believe they intended on using to re-exert their influence over the Magistracy of Canopus and possibly the Fronc Reaches.” Marshal of Armies Sora Higginson said “we are not going to allow this to continue” he said “Task Force Alpha will strike at the Caellan Confederation systems of Muridox, Corodiz, Larsha and Rollis while Task Force Beta will strike at the Taurian systems of Laconis, MacLeod's Land, Brisbane and New Vandenburg.” She explained “you will receive your tasking orders over the next couple of days.”
“We are going to sever the Capellan Confederation’s border ties to the Taurian Concordat and we are going break the Taurian Concordat's ability to wage war.” The First Prince said “we will not attempt to occupy all of these worlds we know the Taurian response to such a move” he said speaking of the Taurian's remaining attachment to and willingness to use nuclear weapons. Instead we will make precision strikes against specific targets. Let me be very clear” Victor said looking at the officers if I hear of any unit taking advantage of this situation and exerting some revenge on the people of the Taurian Concordat I will hold those people responsible for their actions” he warned “we were wronged in this conflict and we will be the ones who ensure it will not happen again in a hurry. Thank you.” He said off to one side a senior enlisted officer called out for the gathering to be dismissed few of them would actually be going anywhere instead they would be remaining on the space station to finalize plans for the AFFS twin assaults.
