Hi all,
Are there any rules determining the mass for individual internal structure sections? I'm interested in it for transport & storage reasons.
StratOps puts costs of these at 10% of internal structure + myomer costs for a chassis, but says nothing about how much they weigh. Couldn't see anything in TechManual about it either.
In lieu of official rules, was thinking of something like a fraction of total internal structure mass based on how many points the section has?
section mass = (internal structure mass) * (section internal structure points) / (total internal structure points)
But this means comes out as non-even number of tons, and has some odd side-effects, such as the mass of the head goes down for larger mechs despite having the same number of points, and there's a difference for all sections in biped vs quads as well due to the extra points quads have in their front legs.
Any pointers/better suggestions?
