Antallos latitude and longitude
« on: 13 November 2013, 03:05:44 »
I like to give my player's coordinates using good old fashioned latitude and west longitude.  That way I can put realistic coordinates on their satellites signal intercept reports.

In the category of useful but not artistic, here's the icosahedral map from "Historical Turning Points: Antallos" with a latitude and longitude grid.  I like putting lat-long grids on the maps before cutting and folding them, it makes them seem more like a standard globe, plus the day-night shadow is easier to track.

I don't have all the map symbols typed in yet, and the longitude grid points are 9 degrees apart, which fits an icosahedral projection great, but is a little weird.  If this is useful to anyone let me know and I put up a cleaned up version.
Hat tips to Slightlylyons who fixed aerotech in one post and to Daryk for organized cool stuff.
