Just to add, if the DA fluff is any indication, the Shadow Cat's going to be around for a long time.

That alone is great.

Fun for a city fight if you've got a Shadow Cat, a torso LB10-XAC, 4 ER Medium Lasers fun fun in close combat :)

Not a huge fan, mostly because I'd rather use a Stormcrow.  My anti-Nova Cat bias also makes me lean away from it, and its not as cool a mech as the Huntsman or Nova Cat, which can overcome their origin.  That said, its a decent mech.  Gotten good use out of the A and Prime, which is a better Kit Fox.

RS: 3145 New Tech, New Upgrades has provided us with a pair of new Shadow Cat configurations, sporting new toys, for consideration.

Shadow Cat E - A pair of improved heavy large lasers, located in the right arm and left torso, are the sole weapons for this loadout. An extra seven double heat sinks have been stuffed into the chassis as well. Were than not enough, the heat dissipation system has been fancy-fied by the addition of two coolant pods. The use is horrifyingly simple: bathe target in laser fire, use coolant pod when the Cat gets too toasty, repeat. Well at least repeat once.

Shadow Cat F - The Shadow Cat finally gets an ER PPC configuration. Who knew that wouldn't be the most frightening weapon installed. Crossing the design into the realm of mixed tech, the right arm mounts a TSEMP cannon. Along side the ability to head cap at range and temporarily immobilize a threat, a Streak SRM 6 has been installed in the right torso for your crit seeking pleasure. Two tons work of ammo are more than enough to keep the efficient missile system fed even during the longest of engagements. The result is a potent collection of capabilities. Then again, it has a whopping 2,997 BV, so all good things come at a price.

Done recently a photoshopped pic with all configs for Shadow cat, as guidelines for my future bashes.
Maybe it can help to visualise old and new configs?

PS: TSEMP unconfirmed look been a problem.

Siberian-Troll, if it helps any, we have at least one look at a TSEMP weapon.

(Apologies for the big image)

The weapon in the left arm is an Ultra AC-10, but the right arm, with the hand, has a TSEMP weapon.

With latest TRO's we also have Raven-4X (piramidal container with two holes) and Phoenix-light (Long rod)  versions of same weapon.  :-[

Heck, we have a bunch of MWDA units with TSEMP. They're pretty consistant in what a TSEMP looks like in those.

I am rather a fan of the Prime --- my big contender has always been the combo of the MASC and Jump Jets.....  yes, there is a huge boost to mobility on any terrain with the combo, but the BV cost to having both is something you have to consider when building a force.

Plus, I've always paired MASC with long range guns, for open terrain, and Jump Jets and short range for close...... when possible.

Outside of that, though, I am rather fond of this design..... although I like to pair them with the Nova Prime, with an Adder Prime as fire support.

From what I can remember the loveable combine put it out of production before introducing the Avalanche and the Wendigo

Personally I'd have kept the Shadow Cat

Going by the WizKids fluff, the Shadow Cat, Wendigo, and Avalanche are all listed as Omnis in production by the Nova Cats when they were gallivanting about former Republic worlds with Warlord Tormark's forces.

With Fox Khanate trialing for Nova Cat gear in the combine its possible we will help the spirit cats fire up the factories in the clan protectorate for some lucrative trade concessions.
