I hate to ask, but how big of an increase?

Well I've been expecting an increase from them for some time now. So, it dose not come as a surprise, and I thank them for trying to keep the price down as long as they have on our favorite toys.

The increase is an average of 65 cents, but it varies depending on the size of the miniatures. The smaller miniatures its less and larger ones is more. The most on a larger mech is 80 cents. Mech packs vary from a 1.00 to 2.00 depending on how many mini are in them.

I can live with that. Given the state of price increases on everything else, an increase of less than 1$ per mini won't kill me.

Compared to GW price raising, this isn't even an increase...

Can't be helped, prices for everything are going up. Thanks for keeping prices low as long as you have.

This increase is very reasonable.  I applaud Iron Winds for keeping the prices as low as possible for as long as you have!   O0

I don't mind prince increases if they a reasonable. And in this case they are. But they have to increase their quality control too.

It could be worse. Like a 5 to 10% increase isn't so bad.

And here I thought it was going to be a major price hike. Given the way some metals have gone up recently I'm actually surprised at how small this increase is.

I think next month I will order the units I don't have I really really want and will be done for a long long time buying minis for a long time.  Good vaild reason or not.  Minis are just getting to expensive.   I know iron wind isn't going go to something less expensive like Reaper has done on it's CAV minis  ie a lead formula to keep cost down.    So we can expect yearly price increases

Definitely less expensive than GW. I haven't played 40K since the Rogue Trader days. When I looked into get back into sci-fi mini games, I freaked when I saw what a decent Space Marine army would cost me.

BT, comparatively, is way cheaper. If you choose a faction, and but the following:

1 Command Lance
1 Fire Lance
1 Recon Lance
1 Pursuit Lance
1 Assault Lance
1 vehicle company
6 squads BA

Bam! Still less. :)

and more fun.

And that's if you're organized.  When I'm teaching someone the game, I just have them grab a few mechs that they think look cool.  If they like the game, I encourage them to buy a few mechs they like aesthetically.  You don't need many.

Oh, yes, exactly. But when you have to convert 40K players, they like structure, lists, all that "stuff." So them how easy it is to make a Company or even a battalion and they're sold.

That is exactly why the IWM price increases cause me to buy less and less.   I don't need any more minis.  BT allows proxies and I have way more than I can use at one time.

I've learned using the BV system works well in this, the two guys I taught to play loved the system, especially the ability to change Piloting/Gunnery and have it reflect in the BV.
