2012 CE Mini?
« on: 20 May 2012, 17:01:10 »
Well, we're about 2 weeks away from Origins, and still not a peep about this year's CE mini, or even any word that there will be one.  Does anyone have any Positive news about this?  Will there be one, or are they passing on it this year?   ???
To me, Repros are 100% Wrong, and there's NO  room for me to give ground on this subject. I'm not just an Immovable Object on this, I'm THE Immovable Object. 3D Prints are just 3D Repros.

Wasn't there a poll about it?  IIRC, there was a great deal of opposition to another jumping mini, save the Highlander.

Well, that doesn't mean that the fan base didn't want another CE. Just that the jumping thing was overdone ;)

We have a few things up our sleeves for this year. Not sure which will hit origins. Going to find out  and I will post when I hear back.

With all the Star League stuff this year, how could it not be a jumping Highlander?

My vote is for a  jumping "Kerensky's Orion" mini that comes with a mini of General Kerensky on a pogo stick...

It won't be a mini.  Instead it will be a blister packed full of omni bits!   [rockon]

And they're all jumping!

Ok, now that's so wrong on so many levels. This will end up on the IWM site soon I hope for the non-convention goers amongst us,right?

And your demand has been met :p

I have really mixed feelings on this and honestly a little anger since most people didn't want another jumping mech

If it was a jumping Highlander that would have been cool. I'm not into a jumping Atlas. I have a question for Speck, how does IWM decide what mini to make for the conventions?

:( Yeah not too excited about this one. Given it is supposed to be the Star League year, a jumping Highlander would have been more appropriate, and would generate some nice cross-product promotion with the huge Highlander on the cover of Historical Liberation Terra vol.1

Oh well, I hope the jumping Atlas sells well at the cons this summer.  :)

I'd be interested IF the jump booster is detachable (and recyclable).

Geez.  Doesn't IWM even LISTEN to its customers and fans?

Just because IWM listen doesn't mean they will end up doing what a vocal minority of mini buyers may want.

And keep it polite. Polite disagreement is fine.

I LIKE the punchy and grabby hands.

but the jet pack?
Not a fan.  Will not friend. will not poke.

I really, really DO HOPE that the jet pack is removable.

Jump pack look dead ringer on as been shown on the pic from Unbound. Sarna.net have it's pic and rules too.

Edit: I been wrong. By rules from Unbound (and not from Sarna) Atlas with Jump Pack can jump 3 once for half of speed (1/2).

Come now, making a jumping Highlander with parts from a Jumping Atlas don't look two hard. A jewlers saw, some pinning and CA glue and maybe a little realigning and it should be easily doable.   ;)

So, does anyone know if the jump pack IS removable or not?  I can't believe it comes attached to the jump exhaust, or the blister would have to be Mighty Big!  :o  Can you Please give us more info on the mini Speck?   ???
