Pissing people off whenever I bring new tacops material (vetted ahead of time by the GM) to our ongoing merc campaign.

Smoke SRM6 munitions was the latest example....

If my group is unprepared for a strange weapon or munition from TacOps, I consider it to be entirely their own fault.

In principle I agree, but our GM found the smoke munition rules somewhat amorphous rather than beautifully crystal clear. Gameplay stopped while rules were interpreted, revised, and judgement passed, tempers (my own included) flared, and my team's commander blamed my smoke for costing him his one assault mech. Mind you, the rest of us in our lights/meds/Quickdraw took a LOT less damage and successfully located/extracted the Mcguffium, but gameplay enjoyment was lessened.

I wonder what'll happen when I bring both Inferno SRMs and Heatseeking LRMs to the table. One thing's sure. It'll piss people off.  >:D

Bringing the infantry.  I load as many infantry and battle armour as I can into a force, and supplement it with mechs or vees afterwards.  My only limitations are my figures and my opponent's patience.  Also, I suppose, battlevalue or scenario limits.  However, I always max that out where possible.

When I'm opfor in a campaign, I gleefully bring as much infantry as I'm allowed too.  While it doesn't generate any extra wins either way (unless it's a city battle), the extra body count fires my imagination in sinister and gruesome ways.

In any given battle with which I have 'Mechs equipped with both AC/20s and TSM, I can either a) hit with an AC/20 or b) hit with a TSM-powered physical attack.  Both happening in the same battle is apparently impossible.

Granted, with the way I treat my 'Mechs and their Ultra and/or Standard (TacOps) Autocannons, it could be said that such a thing would be improbable for me anyway.

When in partial cover, my opponents seem to get a freekish number of 'leg' hits that go into the dirt.  That's won me more than my share of battles.

Despite the fact that I do enjoy a good running battle with fast mediums, I'm known as an assualt mech guy, and I'm pretty good at slow, plodding assualts.

The one thing I'm rediculiously bad at is running Turkinas.  I've had some many defeats snatched from the jaws of victory by head hits on Turkinas, especaly custom Turkinas, that had up to then performed superbly in the battle.  In campaigns, its cost me a number of important cherictors.  Oddly, I haven't stopped using Turkinas yet.

failing melee attacks. Kicking, punching whatever. I cannot hit through a wet paper bag much less another mech. Ranged attacks, especially with autocannons...well that is another story though still not off setting my horrible melee ability.

One local player is notorious for his die rolls; we call him a "chaotic diehard" for his ability to call rolls just before he makes them.

Then there is this other player who can't kick if his life depended on it; I personally know of at least three different occasions in which he tried to kick an enemy 'mech, missed, failed his PSR and fell; once on his cockpit, killing the pilot...  ::)

Orbital Insertion
There's the wrong way, and then there's the Steiner way.  Which is just the wrong way with tons of Assault Mechs.

losing track of units. seriously, win or lose there's always one or two units somewhere on the map waiting for orders to engage i never give.  #P

Skidding off the map.

If there's a way to do it, even needing only 3 or more to avoid doing so, I'll find it.

I seem to have a nack for Rocket Launchers, not only do I hit with high number of launchers I also tend to roll well on the cluster tables. This is balanced out by my horrible luck at getting crits. ;D

I like to test mechs custom and canon in MegaMek.  I typically just run a random bot army with 2 or 3 times the BV to see what something can do.  I've had to restart alot of games due to first round of fire head caps.  In my quest to try out Gargoyle configs I think I had a first round head cap with every head capper carrying variant, and a double LL to the head of a Whammer IIC when using the D.  I usually set pilots at 3/4 so I switched to 4/5 and no difference.

I had a Blood Asp prime score two head caps on other assaults right off the bat the first MegaMek game I played.

I am considering switching to the sandblasting camp so I can stop starting over after only a few turns.

Hitting things with artillery.  Enemy BA, my infantry, ejected elite enemy pilots that ejected right after we fired, you name it.

Thought of a couple more.

Predicting my enemies actions to a scary degree of accuracy.  Sometimes I can even do so a scary number of turns in advance as well.  Though make it double blind, megamek, or have me go without a regular game for a few months and it pretty much goes away.

crazy luck. Both good and bad. I know I've told the story a few times, so i won't go into detail unless asked. But there was an entire lance of light mechs I took out with a gauss rifle shot (engine explosion rules) Or having to walk a virtually pristine Avatar off the board without fireing more then a single turn because of the TAC to the engine, and the game rules (Monte Diablo) If it's going to have an effect on the game, good or bad, it's going to be because of me.

I'm ridiculously good at coring 'Mechs. In a game where I took a Clan Binary vs an IS battalion, I killed every single mech by slagging the gyro or gutting the engine.  Also, if there is a lop-sided victory in a game, I am on the team which wins.

I have the unswerving ability for my pivotal units (C3 masters, Artillery units and so on) to get killed quickly by every single shot hitting a side torso and either shearing off the engine or detonating ammo.

I think the rest of the group should be the ones to get this.

I Jam UAC & RACs better than anyone I know.  It's a Damn shame I play Davion so often. :)
I'm also quite good at losing Initiative.  I don't tend to do well when I have a run of wins on it.

My brother is terrible with RACs. He can jam them up like nobody's business to the point where he can get multiple RAC failures in one round.

Conversely, he's fine with Ultras...
