Something to keep in mind: the MD are an organization, not a species. When 2 MD procreate, you don't get a fully geared up super-baby.

The implications of this should be obvious.

But just in case: What does a 32nd century Manei Domini look like? Just like you and me if they see an operational advantage to remain frail.
Furthermore, could they still maintain such expensive equipment and body modifications without the vast WoB infrastructure?

That'd be telling.
Though whatever those infrastructure needs are, in my view, they're substantially less than the needs to get a Battle Armor or Mech factory going. Don't look at that as a canon statement.

The solution is just ignore Paul.

It is not the pain that makes you frail. What it makes you do, that is the nature of your weakness.
Rise above it, if you can. If you're worthy. And you may be found to be adequate.

The solution is just ignore Paul.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised to find out Herb and Co haven't even bothered to plot out what those are up to these days.

It's been discussed.

Obviously simply maintaining the equipment and body modifications is far easily than manufacturing them.  Building new MD equipment without the resources of the mainstream WoB (or what was given to them) would be difficult for the MD.

Obviously the body implants don't require as much in terms of resources to manufacture them so they should have had few problems manufacturing new implants.  The bigger issue for the MD implants are the negative long-term impact the body modifications have on the human body/mental health.

The implant facilities that made most of the MDs--and the med records that accompanied them--were on Jardine, somewhere in the general vicinity of that Traps volcano you might have heard about...

Sure, but even he blames St. Jamais.

Right, right. St. Jamais started the war, but that meddling Stevens meant he had to burn his homeworld.

Well let's be fair, he's never been that good of a tenant.
First apartment he had was set ablaze just because Girl Scouts and newpaper kids found his doorstep.

That didn't stop them from creating new MD after Jardine's destruction nor maintaining/modifying existing body enhancements.

By then, the operations had been moved to Gibson. Guess what happened next.

Wait, that would make Victor...heh. I wonder if Apollyon ever quite caught onto that little bit of metaphor?

Thank you. Because that an MD is much more expensive than a BA and *custom-designing* an MD you need more resources and time for, were my thoughts.

No.  He's the bastard son of Hanse's opposite gender clone who was spliced with Jerome Blake, who then had a kid with Theodore's illegitimate son. Focht is just the monkey's uncle. ;)
