I ask because here is the wording AS rule book on page 108:
"For any attack against
a unit with reactive armor by a unit with the IF, LRM, or SRM
specials, reduce the amount of attack’s damage by half of the LRM
or SRM special’s value at the appropriate range (rounding up). If
reactive armor reduces damage below 1 point, treat the attack as
delivering 1 point."
I could not find anything specifically in a ruling of errata. So if a unit with IF doesn't also have an SRM or LRM value then the RCA ability is effectively worthless for defense against IF and iATMs (I realize the rules for these came out in the companion later)? Certainly still good against artillery, but it appear this is something lost out on conversion.

Or IF got left out of the effect.

Streaks too. But that issue had been tackled before and I didn't see a need to rehash it. The language exists for the description of how BRA works. With IF it seems like an oversight. iATMs didn't have a translation at the time so their lack of inclusion seems straight forward since they didn't have a AS ability yet.
