After a few months away, some 1st Robinson Rangers
« on: 10 June 2012, 19:14:05 »
So I took a little hiatus to work on my medieval rules, paint a few historical 15mm's, play a little on the computer, and a lot of work travel. But I've been looking at all your great work and was re-inspired. So, I've got a lot of old metal still to be painted or stripped/repainted, and my boy likes the Robinson Rangers, so why not start there? Not my best but it took me a while to readjust to this scale, and I botched some of the gluing... Bleh. I realize not all of these mechs would typically be in this unit, and I'm not sure how well this company would play together, but again, working through stuff on the shelf. :)

Next up, the 6th Lyran Guards! And then some Clan inventory to get to...

I like the white dots in the black, helps make the scheme feel more complete.

You know what's funny? I believe those originally came from the 3067 TRO and were supposed to be battle damage and pockmarks, but lots o folks interpreted it as a garish (read: awesome) interpretation of a chocolate chip pattern.
Alas poor Photobucket. I knew him Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy.

Indeed. I saw some great Camospecs examples without, and some great ones with. I debated up until the very end whether to have the spots or not, but I'm happy with them spotted. :)

Nice.  O0

(I will also chime in and say that the terrain is pretty cool and I like how minis tower over everything and give them a sense of scale...)

Wrong. Utterly and completely wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. You're wrong. You couldn't be more wrong. You're the creamy filling of wrongness in the middle of the wrong donut with brightly colored sprinkles of wrongness on top. You're wrong.
