Reeling from the dual blows of the Jihad and the Wars of Reaving, the Inner Sphere Clans found themselves with depleted forces and depleted industries. As we've seen before and will continue to see for the next few decades in-universe, the Clans could no longer simply replace OmniMechs with more OmniMechs. They were resource constrained and this led to a focus on BattleMechs, especially cost-effective BattleMechs. Which brings us to the
Onager, a (relatively) inexpensive assault 'Mech for Clan Jade Falcon. The
