ALRIGHT YOU GUYS, BACK TO THE SUBJECT.

You've been moved to the wrong board if you were hoping on having the thread remain on topic.
I don't post to play nice with everyone. I post to posit my ideas. If this offends you, there's an ignore function.

Oh really? Then who's responsible for moving it? I wanna know, because I'd like to talk to whomever in a civilized manner, rather than complain about it on the thread.

I would hazard a Moderator did it.

When it comes to customized 100-ton monsters, I like my customized Fafnir, the "Eargesplitten Loudenboomen," which trades one HGR and its energy weapons for an equivalent weight in small lasers. Mostly because this machine kills Locusts.

And how often do scenarios like the on you just mentioned happen?

Only really has to happen once.  Locusts leave a mark.

Seriously...you need to find a better class of opponents if you are not wary of a guy with locusts when you have
nothing but slow-ish 100 tonners...

Just a quick side tip. 100 tonners can only take 3 normal jump jets. However, you can do more with improved jump jets. I don't know the max amount though.

Lies, damn lies, and videotape. a 4/6 100 ton mech can take 4 JJs. So whee!

Just a quick side tip.  Don't talk down to others like that unless you've memorized the entirety of the facts in question, and know exactly where to look it up in a book.  Which it seems you have not done.

100-ton 'Mechs can take any number of Standard Jump Jets, as long as the number of Standard Jump Jets do not exceed their Walking MP, which is taken from their engine rating.  Since they are 100-ton 'Mechs, that engine rating can be 100 (unlikely), 200, 300, 400, or 500 (REALLY unlikely).  This translates into 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 Walking MP.  Oh, and by the way, Standard Jump Jets on 100-ton 'Mechs are 2 tons each, meaning 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 tons for the entire JJ array.

Improved Jump Jets weigh twice as much and take up twice the number of critical spaces.  The upside is that you can take as many as your 'Mech's Running MP, and they produce half as much heat in flight, to a minimum of 3.

Look up the Xanthos 5O variant.  It is an assault 'Mech lance's nightmare.

Did anyone read the previous page of this thread or are people intentionally ignoring my posts?  I don't recall an automatic function for that.

Ignore IS a magical thing, though.

Actually I didn't see it because my phone automatically minimizes all posts except for the latest :D

Bud, I'm sick of seeing the Mods come in here telling us to get back on topic. If you don't have anything to say about the topic, then take it to the forums where they belong PLEASE.

It has been.  Your thread has been moved to the "Mechwarrior Hall".  That's the subforum for silly threads that don't have a real topic.

So it's you that's lost at this point, not Periphery Pirate.   ;)

And now you no longer have to worry about the mods telling you to get on topic. Life is good!

Actually, it might never be, since it's now in the Hell.  I mean Hall.

Locked? Just don't post here and let it die if you don't want to deal with it. Not every thread needs to get locked. Give the mods a break.

Meaning that the Mods don't usually check up on the forums in this area of the site?
