this was another tough one, i went gnomes though, they're a great battle armor and they look really cool, and i'd love to get more of them form IWM.

i also love the jinggau and i hope it also does well
"Warriors, not war machines, are the backbone of the Hell's Horses. While others worship the BattleMech as the ultimate weapon, the men and women of this Clan see even this awesome piece of technology as the tool it is. We have held to this philosophy since the days of our first Khan, who knew that the value of the common soldier far outstripped the brute force of the BattleMech. It is one reason our Clan possesses fewer mechs than most, and has led many to underestimate our fierceness and courage. Our survival against all challengers when others have fallen proves the folly of such arrogance, and testifies to the wisdom of our founders."

Well, the Arbalest is the only one on that list I don't have, and I don't want one either.

So I'm voting for the Piranha because of the people who've been trying to get one for so long.

Don't have any Ninja-to.  Haven't found any Ninja-to in the wild for anything resembling a decent price, and been looking for months, literally.

I'm cool with the Piranha - really I am, and I have a feeling third time lucky applies here - but please, please, PLEASE, ninja-toes.

I agree. All the TRO3085 mechs should come out of archive for at least 1 year.

What would that list be:
- Spider 8R (8k?)
- Targe (which needs a much smaller resculpt anyways...)
- Ghost (not archived)
- Mangonel (not archived)
- Arbalest
- Tundra Wolf
- Hellstar (not archived)

It's not a huge list, provided I did not miss any... and actually the Arbalest appears to be the last archived one that has not been up and won the archive special return poll.

it is actually a well done mini, that was doomed as a project because until it got hard TRO stats, it was nothing more then a kitsch item in mini collections.

I want to love the Jinggau; I really do, but it's just so darn goofy looking. Maybe if they could shrink the torso by about 10% and the arms by 20% I'd go for it. Still, I'm good with almost any result from this month's poll.

And those would be? The morrigan? (too expensive), the ocelot? Or the jenner IIC? All three are the only lights the cats build, and none are as cheap to build.

Griffin IIC, Shadow Hawk IIC, Hellhound (Conjuror). Put the equipment of the Arbalest on the Grif, and you still get an extra ERSL at 6/9/6 movement. Want to dumb it down more? Scrap the jump jets to work standard structure and armor. Sure, the Arbalest may have a niche, but it's a niche that would be better filled by utilizing something they already made.

All of those listed cost more than the Arbalest if you are playing, say, a campaign that requires players to purchase mechs with C-bills. The Arbalest is a cheap 2.4m the Griffin IIC's cheapest layout is 4.4m, Conj 5.2m, and Shadow Hawk is 4.6m... That's two Arbalests (nearly for each of those).

Cheap is only half the equation.  The Arbalest might be only about half the cost of any of those, but it's only about a third as durable.  Any initial savings are quickly going to be eaten up by all the extra repairs and replacements that the Arby-Q is going to require because it doesn't have the speed to disengage from a fight or the armor to survive one.

I would have, but no vehicles were up in this poll. Instead I went for the Piranha, since fielding one means a player is at least thinking about countering combined-arms forces, even if not necessarily using one himself.

Hmm.... i have a Piranha, i have Gnomes.... so what do i need?

Arbalest is still clickytech in my mind. Don't want it as i don't intend to play 3085 very often.
Jinggau has impressive stats, but the mini is just ugly. The oversized arms destroy the whole picture.

So i will go with the generally oversized Ninja-To.

Taking suggestions for the November poll?  I've been looking for some non-Mech units, which people usually seem to like in these polls.  I would love to add some Stuka ASFs to my aerial forces, or some classic 2750 tanks to my Comstar forces, like the Fury or the Marksman.

Inner. Sphere. Battle. Armor.

Seconded! In addition, I'd like to nominate the Skulker(got new variant in 3085, and a whole new appearance in Prototypes) or any of the Heavy APCs(cheapest and most widely available high-capacity troop carriers in the game).

Xing Sheng mechs are available in the Liao Lance packs, well most of them. The Jinggau is an exception... its not in the lance packs.
