Alpha Strike day at the local store pics and scenario info

Pictures from our weekly Alpha Strike day at our local store. We have grown from 4 players to about 11 now in 3 weeks time. The battles are non historical although we always try to weave a plausible story for the scenario depending on who shows up and with what force .
I include info on the scenario below as posted to our local group  enjoy
The periphery state of The Marian hegemony ( specifically their elite garrison IV Legio) were tasked with retrieving relics from the golden age of man from a back water planet that had been discovered by marian geologist looking for rare minerals . They found the lost technology and as they themselves were about to retrieve it they got wind that Kurita had sent a deep space force to do the exact same thing.
The Marian Hegemony not wishing a protracted battle turned to the mercenary units magma Sabers and the elite Blairs 32nd Assault Corp of HIghlander's fame and enlisted their aid in the coming battle. Unbeknownst to Kurita or the forces of the hegemony was that Clan Jade falcon had dropped on to the planet and were already tracking the relics for themselves.
Kurita saw this as an opportunity to fire only at hegemony mechs in the coming battle and unwittingly enlisted the aid of the clans.
The battle was very intense. Colt Blair the commander of the highlanders scored a record 3 mech kills with his unrelenting assaults aboard a captured mad Cat. Highlights also included an Atlas of the legio IV explode on a critical hit from detonating munitions caused by clan mechs combining their fire . Kurita anchored down a flank and fought well and were the only units to emerge form the battle unscathed. The Magma Sabers used flanking maneuvers to distract Kurita and hit form all distances short, medium and long. . Ultimately the combination of the legio IV and the relentless pressure from the elite mercenaries proved too much for the clan/kurita unexpected alliance. Marian hegemony forces took the game 183-150
