At first I was skeptical of an Awesome resculpt. Awesomes are one of my favorite mechs, and giving it a new look just seemed wrong. Then I realized two things: 1) those things have been in the field since 2665. In all those years, supply of spare parts has changed, and occasionally non-specific parts have had to be used; 2) the Corvette has been in production since 1953, and today that thing looks nothing like the original (aside from the general form all cars share). With that mind set, I'm now able to look at the new version and appreciate it, even if I still prefer my old 8Qs.
