On page 58, the Third and Fourth Ceti Hussars are not listed as LCTs. On page 73, the Third Ceti Hussars are listed as a LCT. Likewise on page 70, the Fourth Ceti is also listed as a LCT. Recommended correction: I'd suggest eliminating the LCT on page 70 for the Fourth, and adding the LCT to the Third on page 58. Considering in Field Report AFFS, the 2nd which is listed as a LCT in FM Update 3085 was suppose to be used to rebuild the 1st and 3rd Ceti Hussars according to page 10 of the field report.

Not sure how truly errata this is but the Battlecorp PDF is named CAT35221 which is the product code of Era Report 3062. I assume FM:3085 is really 35222?

Per page 54 of FM 3085, Nathaniel Hasek is said to have died in the fighting on Ridgebrook during Operation MATADOR, which launches on 5 May 3080. However, in Field Report AFFS, which has an in-universe date of 13 August 3079, Nathaniel's Hasek's "recent death" is referred to in the first sentence on page 15. Not sure what the fix for this is, but obviously one or the other is wrong.

Correct- The Ceti Hussars are not LCTs. They are a combined arms brigade based around a regiment of BattleMechs.

Good catch, my fault. FR:3079 is incorrect, not sure how to fix it.

On page 83, the 2nd Marik Militia is referred to as one of the two units involved in the destruction of the 5th Oriente Hussars at the hands of the RotS. However, per page 82, the 2nd Marik Militia is part of the AMSC, and not under RAF command.

Suggested correction: sub in another RAF unit that would make sense. Not sure which one, I'll leave that to TPTB.

P. 208, Mercenary Mech RAT

There are a highly large amount of 3039 Mech variants in this RAT, they go so far as roll 27 of 44.  This RAT is periphery grade and many of these variants are less available then more modern variants. Please update the Mechs with 3039 variant from roll 14 and up.

The #27 position means that a B-rated unit has only a 5.5% chance of having an unupgraded mech, with A-level units having none.  C-rated units are just under a third unupgraded, and it goes downhill from there.  However, in every category (A-F) the upgrade percentages in FM:3085 are higher than they were in FM Mercs (3067).

The simple fact of the matter is that for every Wolf's Dragoons there are a whole lot of units operating on the cheap, and all those unupgraded mechs the houses formerly used were dumped on the secondary market for mercs to buy.

Sorry, not errata.  If you wish to discuss this further, take it to Errata General Discussion.  Thank you.

Great book, some minor issues:
Page 53 Remembering the fallen sidebar: Replace 1st Robinson Rangers with 2nd Robinson Rangers.
Page 67: Not exactly a mistake but it seems that the Woodbine PMM is not a new unit but a re designation of the Milligan DMM.
Page 75 Heroes of a shattered house sidebar, 3rd Regulan Hussars: According to both FM:FWL and FM:U there was no 3rd Regulan Hussars before the jihad.
It's also never mentioned in FR:FWLM which means it's probably not a unit raised during the jihad.
Page 86: "Colonel Jacob Hastings has vowed to destroy ... her words when combat resumes." I guess Jacob is a male name so her should be changed to his.
Page 106: According to the text the Accrington militia is a DPM and the Arc-Royal theater lacks a militia. According to the deployment table the Accrington militia is stated to be an ATM.
In addition according to the Lyran deployment map on page 127 the world of Accrington is inside the Arc-Royal theater and the unit is listed as an ATM.
Page 106: According to the 3rd paragraph the  Dixie, Penboscot and Dar-es-Salaam militia are called CTM (Cavanaugh Theater Militia).
According to the deployment table on page 107 the name of the theater is Dixie theater and the militia name is DTM. The map in page 127 also names the units DTM.

Page 148, under Niops Association Militia, states: "Colonel Fritz Do was the only surviving high-ranking officer. Now commander of the survivors, he has rebuilt the scant and scattered battalion that escaped destruction to nearly two full battalions of ’Mechs."  and also "Constantly raiding the Blakists, though, forged the militia into a veteran unit whose fervor is unmatched."  Fritz Do was last mentioned in Field Manual: Periphery as commander of the NAM's 4th battalion.

Page 152, under Niops Association Militia, lists Brigadier Eugene Thorpe (previously listed in FM:Periphery as the 1st battalion's CO) as the commander of the Niops Association Militia, and lists the rating of the unit as Green/Reliable (same as FM:Periphery).

Suggested correction #1: Alter page 148 to say "Eugene Thorpe" instead of "Fritz Do", or alter page 152 to say "Fritz Do" instead of "Eugene Thorpe".  Alternatively, indicate that Eugene Thorpe was raised from the dead.

Suggested correction #2: Alter the rating of the Niops Association Militia on page 152 from "G/R" to  one of the following: "R/R", "V/R", "R/F" or "V/F".

1st Rasalhague Bears should have a rating of (k) to go with RAT rules since they are lead by the SaKhan (p.195) and use the (K) modifiers and not (FL) as listed in the T&OE (p.127)

Not an error. the 1st Rasalhague Bears is a standard FrontLine unit temporarily commanded by the saKhan, and not a dedicated Keshik. As such it rolls on the (FL) modifiers.

Republic Armed Forces, p. 186/187

II Principes and I Principes Guards have the same infantry brigade (220th).
If I understand the system of nomenclature of the armor/infantry brigades correctly, the I Principes Guards shouls have the 120th Infantry Brigade, not the 220th.

Solution:
Change the name of the I Principes at p. 187 from 220th to 120th.

pg 197,  FedSuns RAT  Medium mechs, entry 11

Two possible corrections for this line would be:

ENF-6Ma Enforcer III is in 3085-ONN

 ---OR---

ENF-6M Enforcer III is in 3060

Hard to tell if the errata error is the model of the Enforcer (what I suspect) or which record sheet book it is in.

Should probably read:  ENF-6M Enforcer III [50] (3060)  Since it was in production for longer and is the baseline model.

Here is what i think is a error, from my limited understanding of the english lenguage:

pg. 98, Twenty-Fifth Arcturan Guards, 5th to 7th line in the paragraph:

"During a recent raid on Halifax by pirates or the Rim Collection, only half of the Guards..."

 Should not be "of" ?

No, the reporters aren't sure who the attacker was in this case, either pirates or forces of the Rim Collection (though some may not see a difference between the two, this document does).

Page 161 lists the Green Machine under the "Unaligned/Uncontracted" section with a posting of Herotitus. The Magistracy of Canopus Map page has them on Herotitus as well.

However, page 158 states (Under the TC section of the Periphery)

"Nearly a year passed before they reappeared 8 months ago seeking new work. The equally desperate Taurians were quick to hire the unwanted Machine and assign it to garrison duty, this time on Dicallus to protect the Bowie Industries Plant."

Suggested fix, move the Green Machine to the TC section of the TO&E, change their posting to Dicallus, and delete them from the Magistracy map on Herotitus, and add them to the TC map on Dicallus.

pg 197,  FedSuns RAT  Medium mechs, entry 11

Two possible corrections for this line would be:

ENF-6Ma Enforcer III is in 3085-ONN

 ---OR---

ENF-6M Enforcer III is in 3060

Hard to tell if the errata error is the model of the Enforcer (what I suspect) or which record sheet book it is in.

Should probably read:  ENF-6M Enforcer III [50] (3060)  Since it was in production for longer and is the baseline model.

The 'Mech variant is as was intended, the source needs correcting.  entry should read ENF-6Ma Enforcer III (3085-ONN)

Wolf in Exile RAT, p. 227 the Morgenstern is listed in number 12 but it isn't produced until 3086.

Solution: Replace with alternate fighter.

p185, Republic Standing Guard (left column, 2nd paragraph, lines 9-10):

Change:
"The basic color scheme of militia units is red with a splash of green on a prominent part of the unit."

To:
"The basic color scheme of militia units is olive drab with maroon highlights on prominent areas of the unit."

Okay, a bunch of walking dead here...

p.51, Draconis Combine TO&E
Quote
PESHT MILITARY DISTRICT
Commander: Teyasu Ashora
Aide: Tai-sho Tahara Sakamoto
Tai-shu Teyasu Ashora died in 3062 during the First Combine-Ghost Bear conflict:

"Tai-shu Teyasu Ashora, Warlord of the Pesht Military District, fell battling the Bears’ saKhan on Schuyler and was replaced by the Coordinator’s own wife, Tai-sho Tomoe Sakade, who then bore the brunt of the enraged Bears’ assault." (Field Manual: Update, p.104)

p.63, Capellan March Brigade
Quote
She raised Serena Thompson-Hasek to command the brigade and has provided the new Marshal with everything under her power to ensure the brigade is rebuilt and directly loyal to New Syrtis.
General Serena Thomson-Hasek was killed by Colonel Warner Doles in 3068 during Operation Thunderstrike:

"When the Lancers arrived, General Serena Thompson-Hasek believed the Free Capellan unit was there to reinforce her severely denuded command. She said as much to Lord Carson, the Fourth’s commander. When the Lancers grounded, Senior Colonel Doles
marched his command while piloting his newly acquired EMP-6L to meet General Thompson-Hasek and her Fusiliers. The Davion unit was shocked when Doles opened fired on the General’s Templar, followed by the entire Blackwind Lancers firing on the remaining Fusiliers. The Fifth and its general did not survive the surprise assault."(Technical Readout: 3058 Upgrade, p.224)

p.161, Mercenaries TO&E - Taurian Concordat
Quote
The Clean Kill (1 Btn)
(CO: Major Phormes Bullard)
Major Phormes Bullard died in 3068, the unit had been commanded by Major Shahna Richman as of 3071.

"On 21 January 3068, everything came crashing down when Bullard was found dead in his bunker, apparently from an overdose of sleeping pills and Aldebaran whiskey."(Mercenaries Supplemental Update, p. 43).

Suggested fixes: while Serena Thomson-Hasek could probably pull a Uvin Buhallin's "the reports of my death are greatly exaggerated" trick, given that she is featured in the text, but Teyasu Ashora and Phormes Bullard were obviously copy-pasted in the respective TO&Es from pre-Jihad sources and should be replaced with preferably non-zombie characters :)

Under the Illician Lancers are 4 sub units, the last one is the Screaming Eagles.
At one point the Screaming Eagles was a separate unit, they way this reads they have become part of the the Illician Lancers.
Just wondering if it's a justification error on the entry?

This is a question rather than an errata report, and since writers don't necessarily check here for questions to answer you should post this in the Ask The Writers forum instead.  Please save this thread for confirmed errors.

Thank you.

Under Delta Galaxy, for both Commander and 5th Raven Auxiliaries, the Galaxy Commander is listed as Andrey McKenna. Change to "Andery McKenna" as per previous FMs and 'Ask the Writers.'

Second Canopian Cuirassiers, page 138:

Being stationed on Buenos Aires which was destroyed by a Blakist bio-weapon, and surviving the Jihad at nearly full strength are mutually incompatible.

Suggested solution:
Change Buenos Aires in the following line: "Second Canopian Cuirassiers
Stationed on Buenos Aires in the Capellan Confederation to
guard against an attack from the Anduriens that never took place, ..."
to some neighboring planet like Barras or Niomede.

EDIT:

Magistracy Highlanders Brigade, page 139:

The writeup for the Canopian Highlanders regiment is missing.

Suggested solution:
Add it.

They are a house unit by 3085. And yes, the author missed them, but it was discovered too late to do anything about, I'm afraid. Not errata, just an omission by mistake.

A somehow related problem:

FORMER FREE WORLDS MILITARY FORCES Deployment Table, p.90

Colonel Yoshio Kawamura is listed both as 2nd Free World Guards commander in UNIFIED DUCHY MILITARY COMMAND and commander of 1st Marik Protectors in INDEPENDENT COMMANDS.

Unless there are two Yoshio Kawamuras in ex-FWLM as well, 2nd FWG commander should be changed to someone else.

This is not a proper sentence.  As it cannot be combined with the previous sentence, it need to be either amended with something to justify that "while", or it needs to be deleted as irrelevant.

Print edition, page 152: The entry for the Rim Collection lists Able's Aces, but not the three battalions of Collection Militia mentioned on page 148. (As a point of comparison, Page 16 of Field Report: Periphery lists the Militia under the Lesser Periphery States's forces section, but has the Aces listed on page 19 under Irregular Forces.) Also, the entry for the Rim Collection seems to imply that Colonel Able is the commander of all of the Collection's forces, rather than just the Aces; is this intentional, or should the commanding officer not be the current President of the Collection proper?

Page 31, under Victoria Commonality Rangers:

The sentence "The almost fully-rebuilt brigade somewhat out of place in the post-Jihad era."  needs an "is".

"The almost fully-rebuilt brigade is somewhat out of place in the post-Jihad era."

Page 32, First St Ives Janissaries:

The first line reads "Their loyalties still considered suspect, but the CCAF can ill afford to disband the unit."

You can put an "are" after "loyalties", but it's still an incorrect sentence as you haven't explained who "they" are.  Rewrite:

"The First's loyalties are still considered suspect, but the CCAF can ill afford to disband the unit."

Page 35, General Review, paragraph 2:

"It was a demonstration more than to their enemies than to their own people that the DCMS is still the best..."

Let's make that comprehensible:

"It was a demonstration not only to their enemies but to their own people that the DCMS is still the best..."

Page The Answer (42), Pesht Regulars

"In some cases, rather new equipment they receive former equipment from other regiments..."

Add "than":
"In some cases, rather than new equipment they receive former equipment from other regiments..."

Page 45, Fifth Sun Zhang Cadre:

"With so many of troops transferred out..."

Eh?  Either eliminate "of" or change to:

"With so many of the Fifth's troops transferred out..."

Page 48, Second An Ting Legion, second paragraph:

Change  "The Second now find itself on Klathandu IV..."

To:  "The Second now finds itself on Klathandu IV..."

Page 52, Camelot summit, paragraph 4:

"Marsin apparently realized by working with New Avalon he would grant a greater chance to see his goals succeed"

Eliminate "by" and "he"

"Marsin apparently realized working with New Avalon would grant a greater chance to see his goals succeed"

Page 56, First Kestrel Grenadiers:

"...coming within a jump of the Capella."

Eliminate "the".

Also page 56, First New Ivaarsen Chasseurs:

Paragraph begins  "The Ivaarsen Chasseurs suffered..."  This is the incorrect name.  It's like calling the New York Yankees the York Yankees.

Change to either "The New Ivaarsen Chasseurs sufffered..."  or just "The Chasseurs suffered..."

Still page 56, First Royal Cavaliers:

"One sign of the prestige with which it are held is the Cavaliers' status as an RCT."

Replace are with is:

"One sign of the prestige with which it is held is the Cavaliers' status as an RCT."

Page 57, Avalon Hussars, several problems:

1 - "...the Avalon Hussars trace their lineage back to before the forming of the Federated Suns"

"Forming" does not carry the proper connotations for the way it is used in this sentence.  An interstellar nation is not a clay pot, or a hand signal.  Replace it with the more formal "formation".

2 - The very next line "This tradition served the brigade well through the tumultuous Jihad" makes absolutely no sense.  How can tracing your lineage back to before your nation was formed possibly serve you well during a war?  Eliminate that line completely.

3 - "...the brigade as a while has a combat effectiveness on par to it pre-Jihad strength."

Replace "it" with its".

4 - 22nd Hussars:

"Currently, the Hussars holding on to elite status only because they it has yet to receive a major influx of new replacements."

Rewrite to:

"Currently, the Hussars hold on to elite status only because they have yet to receive a major influx of new replacements."

Page 72, New Ivaarsen Chasseurs:

The unit is listed as 65% upgraded with a C rating.  This is at odds with their text write-up that mentions their high placement on the quartermaster's list, and that they possess the best equipment.  I'm not sure how to errata this.

I'll start a new post for simplicity's sake.

Page 59, Crucis Lancers

"The five regiments remaining are among those AFFS's remaining RCTs..."

Ignoring the redundant "remaining", change those to the:

"The five regiments remaining are among the AFFS's remaining RCTs..."

Further down, 7th Lancers:

"Dubbed the Galax Syndrome, the condition is believed manifest secondary effects..."

Insert "to":

"Dubbed the Galax Syndrome, the condition is believed to manifest secondary effects..."

Page 61:

Replace all references to "Remagen CMM" with "Remagen CrMM"

Page 65, New Avalon CrMM:

"The jewel of the Crucis March Militia lacks for nothing."

That means they have nothing.  Change to:

"The jewel of the Crucis March Militia wants for nothing."

Also page 65, also NA CrMM:

"Each of the three BattleMech companies has four lances, and the command lance has two more lances.

Was "the lance has two more lances" really the best way the writer could find to communicate that they used a full command company?  How about this:

"Each BattleMech company has four lances, and the command lance has been upgraded to a full company."

Also page 65, Remagen CrMM:

"Still lacking BattleMech strength and quality, the new LCT makes up for in its conventional assets..."

Insert "it":

"Still lacking BattleMech strength and quality, the new LCT makes up for it in its conventional assets..."

Page 66, Draconis March Militia, paragraph 2:

"...of the Draconis border and High Commands extremely tight control..."

Insert apostrophe into "Commands":

"...of the Draconis border and High Command's extremely tight control..."

Page 67, Periphery March Militia

Change all reference to "Anjin CMM" to "Anjin Muerto CrMM", and change "Remagen CMM" to "Remagen CrMM".  Additionally, the Broken Wheel CMM may need to change to CrMM, but as that unit did not exist prior to this book and is a historical unit from a time the Crucis March still went by CMM, it may be fine.

Page 67, Malagrotta PMM:

"...based on the claim that the Suns' does not care..."

Eliminate the possessive apostrophe, since it's possessing nothing.

"...based on the claim that the Suns does not care..."

Page 68, Academy and Training Units:

"...those veterans still in service we're exhausted..."

Change "we're" to "were":

"...those veterans still in service were exhausted..."

Page 68, Sakhara Academy:

"Instead, the academy as responded..."

Change "as" to "has"

"Instead, the academy has responded..."

Also, "Sakhara was authorized to create an basic..."

Change "an" to"a":

Also, "Sakhara was authorized to create a basic..."

While reading FM 3085 I noticed that the unit commanders listed in the text (pg 145) do not match the Deployment tables (p.151)
In the text the 1st Pride is commanded by Col Lacasse, in the table it is Col Cornelius Hamilton.
In the text the 2nd Pride is commanded by Col Summerheim, on the table it is Col August Sims
In the text the 1st Guards are commanded by Col Cohen Kithrong in the table it is Col Geir Kaluza
In the text the 2nd Guards are commanded by Col Mervyn Fernandes in the table it is Col Zayd Bryant
In the text the 3rd Guards are commanded by Brigadier Julie Phelps in the table it is Col Uaithne Kavanaugh

Which listings are correct? The text or the tables?

Quote from: Habeas2
The tables are correct.

Page 78, Duchy of tamarind Military Training Centers:

"...has benefited highly from the presence amongst the Duchy's forces many of the former League's..."

Insert "of":

"...has benefited highly from the presence amongst the Duchy's forces of many of the former League's..."

Page 79, First Andurien Rangers:

"The First Ranges has done its best to put their hatred of the Capellen Confederation behind it"

Mixed pronouns.  Replace "their" with another "its":

"The First Ranges has done its best to put its hatred of the Capellen Confederation behind it"

page 80, Fourth Andurien Rangers:

"Unfortunately for the soldiers of the Fourth, the colonel has become an overbearing micro-manager who is rapidly crushing the morale of the unit even he pushes to increase their proficiency in basic combat skills."

This looks like two sentences that got crushed together into a confusing mess.  Simplest fix:

"Unfortunately for the soldiers of the Fourth, the colonel has become an overbearing micro-manager who is rapidly crushing the morale of the unit even as he pushes them to increase their proficiency in basic combat skills."

Page 85, Protectorate Guard, paragraph 4:

"The people appear restless for more freedom and an escape her increasingly ineffectual rule."

Replace "an" with "to".

"The people appear restless for more freedom and to escape her increasingly ineffectual rule."

Print edition, page 236: The first paragraph in the Raven Alliance affiliation seems to cut short; the last sentence reads:
Quote
As a result, while the Ravens claim ultimate martial authority over their new hybrid realm, these would-be masters know

Thus leaving out whatever may have originally been intended to be in that paragraph.

Roll 2 is "Resgate (Interdictor) (3085-ONN)" should presumably be "Resgate (Interdictor) (Vehicle)".

Field Manual 3085, First PDF release. Draconis Combine Deployment tables, pp. 49-51

Multiple DCMS AeroSpace officers hold the rank of Cho-sa. The DCMS uses the rank of Sho-sa for those officers.

Suggested fix: Replace Cho-sa with Sho-sa.

Not an error.

Both Field Manual: Draconis Combine and Field Manual: Updates also show Chu-sas commanding DCMS AeroSpace units. The admiralty (DNA) ranks are primarily for officers serving with the black water fleet and other off-world defence units protecting recharge stations, space stations and so forth. The ground forces (with attached units) primarily use the DCMS ranks. This is just a continuation of that tradition.

Yes, however the problem is that cho-sa (with an "O") hasn't been used before.

So I'll amend the report:
Field Manual 3085, First PDF release. Draconis Combine Deployment tables, pp. 49-51

Multiple DCMS AeroSpace officers hold the rank of Cho-sa. There is no such rank. The appropriate rank is Chu-sa.

Suggested fix: Replace Cho-sa with Chu-sa.

Typo.

Suggestion: Replace "pervious" with "previous"

This isn't errata, non-English titles are italicized (see Capellan and Combine ranks).

PDF, pg. 43:

In the fluff on this page, the First Genyosha is described as being deployed to Marlowe's Rift, and the Second Genyosha is described as being deployed to Lapida II. However, on both the deployment tables on page 50 and the deployment map on page 124 (listed as 'ii' in the PDF), they have swapped places.

Suggested correction: correct the deployment tables on page 50 and the deployment map on page 124 by swapping them back.

Field Manual 3085, PDF edition

Issue: The maps in Field Manual: 3085 all show the Minette Operational Area of the Federated Suns as still being "live", with Minette marked as an Operational Area regional HQ, including the inset map in the top corner of the two-page map of the inner sphere (pages iii, vi,  vii). However, the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns listing for the Crucis March on page 71 doesn't include the details on the Minette Operational Area - instead, all three remaining Combat Regions associated with the Minette and Chirikof Operational Areas after the formation of the Periphery March (the Remagen, Point Barrow and Tsamma CRs) are listed under Edgeward Combat Theatre (Chirikof Operational Area). This also means that the details for the Theater Commander and Aide for the Minette Operational Area are missing. However, given that the Chirikoff Operational Area is listed as the Edgeward Combat Theater (rather than Edgeward Alpha Combat Theater) might mean that the intention was to merge the two OAs together, prior to them being split out again in Era Report/Field Manual: 3145.

Solution: If the two theaters were meant to have merged in 3085 into one theatre, then the maps in Field Manual: 3085 need to be amended, thinning the line depicting the broder between the Remagen Combat Region and the Tsamma Combat Region, to show just one combined region, with the symbol for the Minette system being replaced with the generic system white circle. In addition, the inset map and key on page vi needs to be amended, adjusting the lines, numbering and key to remove the Minette Operational Area. Alternatively, if they are still two distinct Theaters/Operational Areas, as per the maps, then the AFFS listing on page 71 needs the header details inserted for the Chirikof Operational Area to be amended to read Edgeward Alpha Combat Theater (Chirikof Operational Area) and the header details for Edgeward Bravo Combat Theater (Minette Operational Area) need to be inserted.

FM 3085, PDF, pg. 99

THE ERROR: "The First Bolan Guards are the best unit in the brigade, retaining the core of the Fifth Alliance Guards. Leutnant-General James Ito, a Bolan native, has embraced the unit’s new identity."

However, per his original write-up in FM: Lyran Alliance, pg. 47: "Born on Bremond in the Federated Suns, James Ito has adapted well to life in the Lyran Alliance."

THE FIX: Change the clause "a Bolan native" to "a Bremond native" or perhaps more generically, "a Davion native" or "a Federated Suns native."
