Think of it as an opportunity for salvage and bondsmen. O0  I know someone who will pay well for clantech.
They can squeeze 5 mechs and maybe some elementals in there.

Now that I think about it, we have to keep Charles away from ammo trucks. :o

Ammo trucks...
Dropship fuel tanks....
Ammo bays on hostile vehicles/mechs...
Waiters nearby holding coffepots...

Maybe it would just be safer to safe his weapons entirely???

OK now that the cats are out of the bag we have some clan types are going to pay a visit.
Now for the Mercs this what you get to play with
Pick any 4 units form your roster
Units in training, on rescue duty in Hilo or on security duty at the power plant they are out for this mission.
You will also need security forces at both bases so keep that in mind when pulling forces.

Nejiro control this is Gunsho Holiday we have found the landing site. The DropShip is not here. From what we see of the area it must have taken off as soon as it off loaded the units in side. We request a ground team to look over the site. We have tracks of four, repeat four mechs moving out of the area. they are heading west. Over.

Control to Recon Charlie roger. We will dispatch a ground recon unit to the area. You are to search for the enemy force. Do not engage just report location of enemy force. We will send heavy units to deal with them. Over.

Recon Charlie Roger control. Ground recon team on the way, search for and report location of enemy force. Recon Charlie heading west. Out
Holiday to Yoshii lets get these birds moving west.
Yoshii to Holiday roger.

OK folks just over a week and then we get to make things go boom ... maybe  ::)

just a reminder you get to pick up to 4 units from your rosters.
units in training are out.
units pulling security at the power station are out.
units doing rescue and recovery at Hilo are out.

you may want to have some heavy and mobile units at you bases for security   ::) >:D  ^-^

you all should work up what will be on this mission together. Each of you have forces at your command that will work well together. Keep in mind use all the tools in the box  ::)

When you say "out", do you mean that they cannot be used?
Also, what do our battlerom recordings tell us the first clan force consisted of in terms of mechs?

the original clan force was a Nova Cat, Grendal, Shadow Cat, Cougar and Fire Falcon. the Fire Falcon was salvage at the end of that OP.

ok guys this is what i have available for both the mission and the security of our bases

Archer - 70 tons -moves 4/6 - er med lasers, LRM 15w/artemis, er large laser
Tarantula - 25 tons - moves 8/12/8 - er med laser, streak srm 2
Striker light tank - 35 tons - moves 5/8 - LRM 15 w artemis, er med laser and has guardian ecm & is a C3 slave unit
Maxim hover - 50 ton - moves 8/12 - streak srm 6er laser tag and IS foot infantry
Morningstar City Command Vehicle - 60 tons - moves 5/8 - ac 10, 3 machine guns and 1 squad of gray death , c3 master, targeting computer

and of course my 2 boats will keep patroling the river lol

my thought was to leave the maxim and the tarantula at base and bring the rest what do you all think ?

the striker c3 and my morning star can work with other c3 i think but other units will have to "sink into" my system but because my Morningstar is the c3 master i will be keeping it back away from the fighting as much as i can

Anthony will have to tell us if the sinking of other c3 slaves worked

ok let me know what you think guys

What clan designs would those footprints match?

Devondra,
We need to ask your bondsman a few questions about his former starmates.  Before he left them:
1. Did they have many spare parts?
2. Did they have enough spare parts for alternate configurations?
3. Names and descriptions of each warrior
4. Known baseworld (s)
5. How many ships did that unit control?
6. How hard was it to obtain food?
7. Did they dream of becoming legitimate warriors again?

It's just a hunch that these are the same warriors that we faced before, but the evidence is suggestive.

Devondra,
A follow-up to my last post: If this is who I think they are, perhaps you should bring the Piranha and pilot to the fight.  We could use him to to try to convince the pirates to become our bondsmen.
Also, could you ask the Governor if she has any ISF personnel on planet skilled in interrogation that she trusts?  It might be an idea to extract everything we can from "Bully".

I have no problem getting this information from my bonds man but it will have to be via transmissions with me since i replaced him at the power plant a while back and he is off helping my dragon train to be better pilot

Anthony will have to post what if anything he can tell us

Why is it always "Bully" instead of just Bully?

Is it that hard to believe that my parents chose a name that signaled their ambitions for me?

Oops, I'm still unconscious and can't say anything...
