« on: 10 March 2011, 17:54:40 »
Hello! I have painted a Wolverine II. It is a test for weathering and white painting. I hope you like it!

The paint looks great....however, there is something off with that shoulder...maybe with the way the repose came out? Like it's angled weird.

Love the weathered look though....gives a great rust affect

I don't know if I like that or not. Though it does kinda remind my of WWII Soviet troops in their winter gear

The weathering is great, but the white is very flat and uninspiring to look at, lacking the panelling, or shading it really needs if the model is going to pop and look outstanding. YMMV.

I haven't tried weathering so far, but one thing: the missile warheads should look fresh as they should be reloads fresh out of the magazine.

But that's just the details. Highly interesting work so far.

Thank you for your comments! It seems that the white experiment failed. I'm trying another mix of colors and I plan to add darker colors to achieve more contrast. Thank you for the comment. Also, great imput about the missile. I will repaint them (the red dots didn't look too cool).

The shoulder looks odd... the repose was too extreme. I highly recommend this miniature. It looks great, it has detail and it has a great pose.

It really is a beautifully made miniature. Looks true to the drawing.
It looks like this MW is an urban veteran. Weathering can be a real challenge with some colors

The MW is going to need an expensive car wash to clean that...  :-\

But otherwise!

It's cool to start seeing all of the new models come through painted up. I'm expecting a round of Night Wolfs to be showing up soon.  [drool] Mine is almost done.
