Product Link: http://bg.battletech.com/?wpsc-product=starterbook-sword-and-dragon

Current errata version is 1.1, and can be found below.

Please remember to follow the errata report template when reporting issues.  Thanks.

Developer-Level Errata

Blood of Kerensky (p. 17)
In the second paragraph, fourteenth to sixteenth lines, replace "George Lytton was killed defending his Captain. Hiro Chipende died in an ammunition explosion and several Raiders..." with "George Lytton was killed in an ammunition explosion while defending his Captain and several Raiders..."

Paul Denton (p. 24)
Next to 'Mech, replace "CN9-D Centurion" with "CN9-A Centurion".

Sorenson's Sabres' 3049 TO&E (p. 35)
Under Fire Lance, replace "TBT-5K" with "TBT-7K".

Double Heat Sinks (Freezers) box (p. 57)
Under Construction, replace the last line ("If used, double heat sinks are combined with the 10 single heat sinks that come equipped on every ’Mech.") with "The ten single heat sinks that come with a 'Mech's fusion engine may be upgraded to Freezers, but must be mounted outside the engine even if its rating is large enough to mount them internally. A unit may mix any number of single heat sinks and Freezers."
- NOTE: while this ruling was indeed in this version of the errata, we have reversed it.  Thank you.

Random 'Mech Assignment Table: Opposing Force (p. 61)
1. All 'Mech names should be in italics.
2. In the House Davion and Mercenary tables, in the fourth ("Assault") columns, replace "LGB-7Q Longbow" with "LGB-0W Longbow".
3. In the House Kurita table, in the first ("Light") column, replace "MON-66 Mongoose" with "MON-67 Mongoose".

Warchest and Tracks (p. 62)
In the third paragraph, second and third lines, change "increase personnel experience, repair and rearm, and purchase" to "repair, rearm, and purchase..."

Selling Units (p. 62)
In the last paragraph, fourth line, change the page reference from "p. 32" to "p. 49".

Prototype Weapons and Equipment (p. 63)
In the second paragraph, fourth line, replace "onsidered" with "considered".

Repair Table (p. 63)
Change the "Destroyed" value for the Heavy (60-75) line from "80" to "90".

The Setup: Sorenson's Sabres (p. 65)
In the first paragraph, fourth line, change the page reference from "p. 33" to "p. 35".

Mission: Recon (p. 66)
Before Game Set-Up, add a new paragraph as follows:

Special: Any time this track is indicated, the choosing player may use the Recon-in-Force track (p. 70) instead.

Mission: Recon-in-Force (p. 70)
Under Objectives, replace the entire first entry with the following:

1. ID / Scan all of the Defender’s buildings. Scanning must be done within 4 hexes of a building at the end of the Movement phase and in lieu of any attack. (Reward: 100)

Mission: Beachhead (p. 72)
Under Next Tracks, delete the "Scout" entry and replace "Holding Action" with "Fighting Withdrawal".

Mission: Pursuit (p, 72)
Under Next Tracks, delete the "Holding Action" entry.

TBT-5K Trebuchet record sheet (p. 96)
The designation of this unit should be TBT-7K.

CGR-1A9 Charger record sheet (p. 102)
The Long Range value for the Small Laser should be 3 instead of 9.

HTM-27T Hatamoto-Chi Daniel record sheet (p. 103)
In the Critical Hit Table, the LA and RA LB-X-P items should be 6 crits each, not 7. Replace the lowest LB-X-P critical slot in each arm with "Roll Again".

Starterbook: Sword and Dragon. PDF
Page 40

Emory Wilk 'mech called "DRG-1G Grand Dragon Emory". But mech name on record sheet is "DRG-5K Grand Dragon Emory"
Under MUL DRG-5K production started in 3050, so that is necessary corrected RS.

Pages 65 and 67. Sorenson's Sabres starting mission Defend:

One of the starting missions for Sorenson's Sabres is the Mission: Defend which costs 400 WP. But the player starts the game with only 100 WP making it an impossible choice.

Please note the ruling on Freezer construction rules featured above (and now struck through) has been reversed.  Use the original wording found in the book ("If used, double heat sinks are combined with the 10 single heat sinks that come equipped on every ’Mech.").  Thank you.

Pages 65 and 67. Sorenson's Sabres starting mission Defend:

One of the starting missions for Sorenson's Sabres is the Mission: Defend which costs 400 WP. But the player starts the game with only 100 WP making it an impossible choice.

Similarly, page 64 lists Assault as one of the beginning Mission options for The Fox's Teeth.  It also  has a Track Cost of 400 WP against a starting Warchest of 100 WP.

Also, Recon-In-Force (page 70) and Probe (pages 70, 71) both reference McKinnon's Raiders rather than The Fox's Teeth in their Next Tracks sections.  Additionally Recon-In-Force is an unobtainable Mission as no other Tracks list  it as an option in Next Tracks.

Beachhead and Pursuit (pages 71, 72) also have the issues listed above with the additional error of listing Holding Action in the Next Tracks section.  Beachhead also lists Scout as a  Next Tracks option.  Neither Scout nor Holding Action exist in the book.  I'm guessing these should be Recon and  Fighting Withdrawal respectively.

Problem: On Ian McKinnon's profile on page 20 it is mentioned, that his Black Knight was stored inoperable on Kestrel, after his father Ross died in it in 3020, until 3038 when it was repaired and upgraded. But in the opening short story, on page 6 and 7, that takes place in 3034, Ian is piloting a Black Knight already.

My suggestion: Exchange the Black Knight on page 6 and 7 for the Marauder, Ian was piloting before.

Problem: Though there is a record sheet for an upgraded Enforcer ENF-5D Daniel in the book (p.107),  with an introduction date of 3054, on the Fox's Teeth TO&E of 3054 (p. 18) and 3071 (p. 19) Daniel Waylen still drives his experimental ENF-4R Daniel.

My suggestion: Exchange the ENF-4R Daniel on the TO&E on page 18 and 19 for the Enforcer ENF-5D Daniel.

Problem: Sara Lytton pilots on the Fox's Teeth TO&E of 3054 on page 18 her CTF-3X Cataphract Sara though it utilized with a Rotary Autocannon a weapon, that is not available until 3062, the year, that is also given as introduction date of this Mech on its record sheet on page 110 and the MUL.

My suggestion: Exchange the CTF-3X Cataphract Sara on the TO&E on page 18 for the CTF-2X Cataphract George of her father or another variant available at this time.
