(Answered) Torpedoes and Artemis
« on: 28 August 2019, 22:15:08 »
When calculating the TOR special ability (ASC, pg.132) it states:

"Torpedo launchers always use the left-most damage values from the equivalent missile launcher’s attack numbers in the Alpha Strike Weapon Conversion tables."

For the footnote on Torpedoes (ASC, pg. 107) it states:

"LRTs and SRTs receive the same damage values as a comparable LRM or SRM weapon, and may benefit from Artemis damage values..."

The two seem to contradict one another. I would think that, if Torpedoes can utilize Artemis, they should also get the benefit of the added damage value. Should that paragraph under the TOR special ability simply be removed? Or perhaps reworded to indicate it should use the proper damage value based on whether or not it utilizes Artemis?

Yes, torpedos can use artemis iv, so p132 should have that line dropped. Adding errata.
