IWM Origins 2016
« on: 13 June 2016, 20:33:35 »
See link for full Announcement for more details.

Just to note that BT-304 Arion will have a assembly guide posted in a day or two once it has been finalized. BT-354 Pendragon 3R is a new variant of the mech that I am hoping to have its official record sheet available soon. The batch of BT-348 Centurion CN9-D / CN9-AL Resculpt that will be at Origins are missing the AL variant arm, we just discovered that part did not get molded yet. So those that purchase the mech we will send you the part. We are going to have this fixed in time for release to the IWM Web store.

Obviously we will have the normal BT and 20 codes at the show, along with the recently released 2nd quarter 2016 mechs.

Note: Limited Edition Mech will not make it to Origins this year due to delay, but we have lots of Web Only that are new.

New Just added links to the Alpha PDF files on the main news article on IWM site and available here in the Downloads section of IWM website.

Wow so many cool things on that list!

Tomahawk II variants, eh? Did they correct the issues with the Prime variant casting? I suppose I don't need to finish building my custom A variant now ;)

Excited to check out the new Centurion and Chimeras too.

re Tomahawk II: not yet, variants are just new parts. Getting the lower legs fixed is on my to do list to talk to Mike about when I see him later this week. We will need to have those two parts reprinted and then new molds done.

Ah, I see. The upper torso piece also suffered significant shrinkage and does not fit on the body correctly. I'm not sure if the torso pieces change at all for the variants, of if they just feature weapon 'pods'.

Awesome list! Could you explain what the generic missile launchers are? Also, did the size issue with the Arctic Wolf II Prime ever get resolved? Gun, Highlander, and Chimera variants oh my! So excited!
 [drool] [cheers]
Why not Zoidberg?

The Generic missile Launcher is the same size as the shoulder launcher on the Thor II but with the ability to put different plate on the front. There are 8 plates of different size launchers.

I would love to say the size was fixed with the Arctic Wolf II but it was not, it was either release it or not release it. It's still a great model for sure. Helped lead to extra steps to avoid issues like it from happening again.

Is there a photo somewhere showing the new sculpt of the Chimera?

I'm looking forward to seeing how the mini turns out, Stinger.

Speck: So the idea behind the generic missile launcher is that its a spare part to be used in kit bashing? Is this a sign of things to come? Can we look forward to a weapons pack? That'd be a kit basher's dream.

I'm amazed at how crazy busy you guys have been. Here's hoping to see a Tenshi B sculpt in the future.
Why not Zoidberg?

I have access to the images, but that is Sentinel373's mini, so I'll default to him for showing it off.

You like??

I proposed this mini first, and it actually serves as the basis for the Centurion Omni also. So those two are scaled nearly identically.

Oh, man, that Vulture...
I thought the TRO art was a bit meh.
But this?
This looks like straight outta Mechwarrior IV... which is AWESOME, as that rendition of the Vulture is superb.

I think that once i get around starting collecting Clan 'Mechs, i'll just get Vulture IIIs to represent standard Vultures (and Loki IIs and Thor IIs for their originals).

I haven't seen any pics of the resculpt cent, but I am super excited, interested to see what the mini comes out like! It's a good time to have store credit!

Hrm... Might have to add the Generic Missile Launcher and Plates to my list for GenCon...
Curious how big it is. Looking to replace the 15 + Artemis Launcher on the Griffin 6S with a standard 20 launcher and wonder if that would fit, or if it would be too large.

The generic launcher look like the Thor II shoulder missile rack but can use the plates.

Ditto.  I have dollars burning a hole in my pocket for some of these.

Please.  Before Gen Con.
