I basically took the Templin Institute video: Building An Entire United Nations Space Command Armored Regiment, link provided

and wrote it down. I changed a little bit, but it should be very similar.

The formation contains 169 listed heavy transports, 136 heavy trucks, 278 MRAPs, and while there's a lot of specialized equipment, I imagine that most of it can be removed should the RCT need to move, and truck, transport, and MRAP hulls can just be procured locally assuming the planet has a good industrial base or filled out over time assuming an outback or periphery posting. That or they can just take over whatever the previous unit left for them assuming they're moving from a garrison post to another garrison post.

It's also notably not a mobile formation in a strategic sense. You could transport all of it in a Mammoth as cargo (the regular dudes get stuffed into a mule traveling economy class), but you're never going to combat drop with it. It's just not configured for a teeth first approach, and more suited to high intensity campaigns across a planet's surface or acting as an anchor for local/militia formations.

When answering a batchall, you report that you have "7 tank companies, 9 mechanized infantry companies, and non-combat support elements". The ADA battalion should be brought up only later only in the event that they bring aero assets and bid against those not against their ground warfare units.

I'm trying to figure out why the only difference I see between the Mech Infantry Companies and Cavalry Troops is 3 Heavy Transports? ???

On the teeth side there isn't. On the fluff side, those three extra transports might be carrying more gear, supplies, and specialist equipment which allows the Cavalry troops to range out really far at full speed relatively unsupported. Doing things like long range scouting, raiding, and "deep" exploitation.

In a pinch, they can do the Mechanized Infantry job, but that's not really what you train them for.

The three combined arms battalions + HQ + cavalry squadron + ADA battalion amount to
102 tanks, 142 IFV, 1 mobile hq, 1 command van, 117 Heavy Transports, 70 Heavy Trucks, 24 SPAA, 18 Loadermech, 27 infantry platoons, and then the MRAPs which can be comfortably fitted onto a mammoth in bays for immediate deployment.
A quick glance at the bay personnel count and extrapolating from that this is something to the order of 3500-4000 persons if you decide to for some reason decide to land them all at once and declare a batchall real quick. I wouldn't recommend it, but it's an option. Getting them all unloaded would be a nightmare and you'd only have enough supply to fight for 24-36 hours, but if clanners roll up, man do what man do.

Taking into account a 1 to 2-3 tooth to tail, that means that the entire ARCT is something like 7000 to 10,500 persons. That's a lot of dudes, many of whom can also generally be relied on to shoot a rifle accurately should their position come under fire.

Edit: Of course, Mammoths are expensive and rare outside their natural habitat, that being the probably "naturally occurring command circuits" between such natural destinations like Hesperus to Tharkad, or New Avalon to Robinson where there is always cargo to be moved from one to the other and vise versa.

A mule or Jumbo is able to comfortably carry a Combined Arms battalion each. Each Combined Arms battalion is 29 tanks, 32 IFVs, 6 platoons of infantry, and 34 trucks and transports and these can all be carried in a combat ready configuration if you outfit the Jumbo's bays. MRAPs can be stored as cargo until the time comes  Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles I've fluffed out to be a sub 5 ton semi-armored wheeled truck used primarily in a logistical or liaison role, transporting smaller quantities or a few persons at a time from place to place when a heavy truck, semi-armored transport, IFV, or tank is not appropriate. Rocking up to the command meeting in a tank is all well and dramatic, but honestly it's so much of a hassle you might as well just call in over the phone.

I would prefer the Jumbo since that has enough room left over to also carry the battalion's embedded forward support company as well. This is of course only necessary if you're moving the unit into a combat zone steadily over time. If you're just normally relocating you can just tetris everything into 3 jumbos and job done.

Support units pre-helm memory core since industrialmechs aren't in huge supply so lift hoist and loader equipped heavy transports are doing the job of haulermechs and constructionmechs. An additional lance of crane equipped heavy transports is also included in the engineering companies.

In the Artillery batteries, both ADA and SPG, the number of transports is doubled so that each gun has its own attendant now, each equipped with a lift hoist/loader, partially because the transport is carrying half the stuff it normally would and also because the transports are less efficient than a loadermech.

And yes, late 3rd succession war, all of the members of the support units are forklift certified.

Also, at lower levels like regional militias, while an ARCT might be too expensive, you could get a similar level of effectiveness by going one step down with Battalion Tactical Groups.

Cavalry Troop
Engineering Company
Military Intelligence Platoon

While the ARCT is being fielded by the planetary government, the BTG is being fielded by say, a continent, city, or subordinate regional noble in order to respond to local issues more quickly and responsively than the government.

The planetary government would also be building and fielding BTGs as well mind. It's just that once they get enough to have two together in once place, the correct response is to voltron them together into an ARCT. The planetary government, not the regional one, the regional one would benefit from the flexibility of having two smaller units.

Love the look of these, especially the Battalion Tactical Groups.

I say this a great fan of the dirtbag militia units.

Org Chart for what a prototypical BTG should probably look like

If you couldn't tell, it's actually a regiment sized unit, if not regiment strength. Most of the size is support which unlike most bt units is entirely organic. I also added more forward support platoons for a total of 6. 2 for the combined arms company and 1 each for cavalry, engineering, artillery, and air defense artillery under the theory that a permanently attached unit will over time be better at anticipating the needs of their charges.

The combat support platoon is a seperate unit from the ones they're supporting to encourage them to focus on combat support while the other guys keep their minds firmly on the task at hand.

Love the look of these, especially the Battalion Tactical Groups.

That's the idea. All of the supporting units and equipment basically don't work for anything other than dirtbag militia. It let's the unit do amazing things, but it takes up a lot of mass in your spacelift.

That tracks exactly with what I've said for a long time: when you include support, your unit size is actually an echelon up... :)

So I did the Armored regimental combat team, something that a Militia would be structured like, but armor is expensive and thus much rarer than would be preferred. Infantry are relatively inexpensive and also necessary for any fight taking place in a city or among civilian populations friendly or otherwise. Unless you're the draconis combine which doesn't care or clan chimney kitties in which case shooting inferno missiles into stupid spheroid dezgra maternity wards is the expected and honorable thing to do.

The Infantry Regimental Combat Team should probably consist of a pretty similar structure, just swapping out your direct action units.
Your headquarters and headquarters company should probably look the same, as should the engineering battalion, support battalion, and air defense battalion.
The units that would change would be the Combined Arms battalions, cavalry squadron, and Artillery Battalion

3rd Section (4 LRM Carriers, 2 Heavy Trucks, 4 Heavy Transport (Lift-hoist/Loader equipped))

You'll note that the Mechanized Infantry companies now have extra trucks. This is to carry and transport all of the things to sustain human beings in the field. It's all well and good to issue them rifles and tell them to "go get em tiger" but you get a lot more out of your infantry if you keep them fed, watered, cleaned, well stocked, and in contact with the units around them. The trucks can also carry flatbeds for if the company needs to set up a patrol base somewhere. You'll notice the weapon platoon. 2 assault guns. Those are company level assets and used to attack things like bunkers, trench lines, and other hardened fighting positions without needing to call up to the regimental arty or reach across to the mech corps. They can also be used to attack armor as well, but their primary job is defeating hardened positions. Flechette ammo also allows it to shred infantry in the open.

You'll note that the cavalry squadron lost a Mechanized infantry troop in favor of an armored troop but also expanded. Each Mechanized troop has a tank lance attached to it now. This is to provide extra punch for the armored reconnaissance job. Each armored troop has a mechanized infantry platoon for security purposes and securing smaller objectives of opportunity during deep raiding and/or exploitation. To assist their jobs each one gets additional auxiliary assets as well.
The reasoning for the additional armored troop is simply that while the role of the cavalry squadron in the ARCT is more focused on the deep raiding and exploitation job, the most common role of the cavalry squadron in the IRCT is to throw a column of tanks at the enemy and see what pops up to deal with them.

The artillery battalion's heavy artillery is now replaced by a Bombardment battery which primarily consists of LRM carriers rather than Long Toms. The job of the LRM carriers come into play when the IRCT is sieging down a fighting position. The Bombardment battery is then called upon to start deleting grid squares. In later eras, they would be called upon for minelaying and mine clearing duties as well.

Got Lycoris Recoil on the brain. It's just as good on the second watch. Gotta set this up first though.

If you're reducing a fixed position, artillery is cheaper and more effective (not to mention less likely to take return fire).

Are these Hetzers or a yet unknown design perhaps smaller packing a AC10 or something smaller there the AC20?

While I like this idea for a force, I would also like to see something with SRM for short range Urban Ambush and fire from with or beside alleyways

Of course artillery is good at reducing a hardened fighting position, but if you look at basically every war from World War I to World War II to the Korean War, Vietnam war, Balkan kerfufles, Desert Storm, the Chechen fiascos, to the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war, an earth and concrete fortification is surprisingly hard to really definitively destroy. The only way to be sure about clearing it out is to drop pgms directly into it, flush it out with infantry, or draw a bead on it with a heavy cannon.

It could be a Hetzer but really I'm referring more to the Sturmgeschutz form factor than anything else. A casemate weapon carrier with a front plate thick enough to protect it until it gets in close enough to give the other guys a proper greeting.

Ther are SRMs for short range urban ambushes. They're carried by the infantry. As for dedicated SRM vehicles, that would probably be something for ARCTs to truck around, or Ad Hoc constructions produced locally.
