Necromo Nightmare- WoB edition

14 turn destroy the dropship mission, with 2 AI mechs spawning every other turn, with light only on the first map, mediums second and anything including assaults once the players make it to the main map.

AI mechs were run using the Aces pack, and were very susceptible to ECM.  The enemy also had access to minefields and infantry ambushes.

Players started off with 3k BV to either customize or choose a mech.
Starting mechs were a Timberwolf, Fafnir, and a modified Albatross.  Turn 2 had a Hellbringer joined the players and 2 more players, during turn 9 showed up in a Supernova and another Timberwolf.

AI mechs the players encountered were:
Stinger, Anubis, Valkyrie, Menshen, Griffin, Huron Warrior, Emperor and Pillager.

The first player casualty of the game was my Plague Doctor.  But for 4 glorious turns at least 2 to 3 AI  mechs were under ECM coverage and unable to act.

Game ended on turn 14.  Dropship was destroyed on turn 10 via the very bold Timberwolf pilot,  and then 2 very unhappy and very elite Manei Domini pilots in an Archangel and Eidolon sortied from the remains.  Half of the pilots chose discretion and retreated off the board while the remaining half went for glory.

Due to time, only the Eidolon was taken down and the players lost the modified Albatross and the Timberwolf.

MVP of the game was the Timberwolf with the Fafnir as the close second for kills.

That was a great game!  Loads of fun.  The Timberwolf was absolutely the MVP of that game, charging right into the teeth of the enemy, blasting past them, and knocking out the drone command center before the heavies came into play.

I loved how the Fafnir was cleaning house with the light mechs too  :cheesy:  I was expecting more minefields and infantry however.  But yeah, enjoyed the whole thing!

Oh, so you played it with the WoB and Broken on the same side?

The GM modified it that way, yes.  Mostly to have a self contained big bad for us to whale on.
