Death Ray Designs and Brigade Models.

 I was looking for some vehicles in 6 MM to spice up my backgrounds and really showcase the scale of Battlemechs. Death Ray Designs sells a "Forward Command Post" that I've been steadily painting up. It's got a good mix of Quonset huts, Humvee style trucks and some large flatbed carriers with a deployable command vehicle. There is an empty flatbed included that would be excellent for carrying around 'mech salvage like an arm or leg.

 The other vehicle set on my radar is from Brigade games. I haven't ordered pieces from this set yet, but it's a 6 MM monorail train collection that looks to be about as close to "Battletech Train" as you can get. Check out the armored locomotive in particular, might be just the ticket for building some pretty unique and interesting dioramas and backdrops.

Thye monorail (both forms of it) are the business, just like every other bit of Brigade Models kit. I highly recommend all their products, as they are a great company and a genuinely nice pair of gentlemen. For those of us in the US, sadly, shipping is now a killer.

 Yeah I just ordered some stuff from them and the turn around is like two months. Which is honestly FINE because I seriously need to paint less stuff.

I like the look of the Quonset huts from Death Ray Designs.

Just buying them done would save time on a project but they come as a set of 4-
and I specifically need 5.  :sad:

They also look to be a little wide to work for the project so I'm sill undecided.
They show them next to a mech for scale but I wish they listed their dimensions. ( L W H )

They are 1 and 7/8's of an inch long, 1 and 3/8s of an inch wide, and 5/8s of an inch tall.

I'll have to check the calculations on the area available when I get closer to that point.
If they're close enough I'll probably just get 2 sets and call it done.
The 1 and 3/8ths sounds like it might JUST be small enough to work.
Otherwise I'll have to scratch build all 5 and it'll take WAY longer.
I'm most of the way through the hardest part of this project and I REALLY want to get it done and post pics.

I mean you could cut them down a bit of it was that close, but yeah, they're fairly small. Here's my Marauder IIC in front of one:

Brigade's stuff is great and they ship very fast. I have a bunch of it including the monorail. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
