(Answered) Superheavy Criticals and Weapon Add-Ons
« on: 24 October 2011, 09:01:31 »
Okay this is a question about LRMs with Artemis IV

If a IS LRM 20 normally takes up 5 crits on a non superheavy Mech, it takes 3 on a superheavy Mech, which is normal, BUT

If a IS LRM 20 w/ Artemis IV takes up 6 crits, does it take up 3 crits for the LRM and 1 for the Artemis or only 3 crits, as they are a combined system?

That's debatable, but let's face it; some folks gave them a pass because they were big and claimed to be Scottish.

Hello,

Since 'Mech design still treats the Artemis as a separate item, and the only items allowed to "share space" on the SHM crit tables are heat sinks and ammo, then you must use 3 slots for the LRM and 1 for its Artemis.
