I don't consider that fixing anything. Folks have been waiting longer for other units from TROs 3085 and 3145, not to mention the decades some of us have waited for units that fan financing might cover. Currently there are three Warhammer and two Warhammer IIC minis available from IWM for use as proxies. So you want another Warhammer resculpt. I want a 3055 Upgrades Gunslinger and Berserker. It's going on 12 years that I've been waiting on them. At least the nuSeen Warhammer is a certainty.
I do think it fixes it.
Like you, I too would like to see a Gunslinger resculpt, however there has never been any test sculpts of such a thing unlike the Warhammer. The NuSeen art/sculpt generated a lot of buzz and (will, most likely) sales/revenue...and yet remains something unavailable for nearly two years?
I'm making no assumptions, so please spare me the "you don't know how hard it is to..." arguments. I'd simply like to see supply meet demand while demand still exists.
I was looking forward to a NuSeen TRO (might exist someday) but since CGL chose to release a few mechs here and there, scattered throughout other products, I'm out. I bought a few, initially excited, but then some were "meh", so I'm done. I understand what CGL is doing, but I'm not willing to participate and spend any money. I'll wait for the art/data to become available elsewhere, or have my the guys in my group lend me their latest sourcebook purchase when we next meet. If/when a TRO is released, maybe I'll pick it up.
Same thing with minis. If the NuSeen are going to be released a few at a time over the next several years, I think there is a significant risk of waning interest.
Nothing is certain.
Tough business to be in.
