Power outage.

GRr..  Couldn't have our usual, sunday roast, as just after 5.40pm, we had a power outage that lasted till almost 2am!  Thankfully no food was spoiled in the freezer/fridge, but we did have to toss the partially cooked pork loin.. :flame:

Many of my relatives have brick ovens in their houses. I don't, but there's goahti with a fireplace few meters away

The power outage must be a gremlin/demon on the wander.  This morning, after I'd fed my cats at about quarter after 9 AM, the transformer down the block blew.  I heard the bang about the same time my power went out. I live in Iowa, so this is far away from Garhkal.  Thankfully, the local electric company had it back up and working in about half an hour.

Still, coincidence?  This had been building.  I'd been smelling acrid smoke at night when I was in bed, open windows and fan blowing. Thought it was because someone's furnace was running. But, now I know.

Sadly gas powered. If it worked off of duck poop, I'd be golden.
