I’m a bit of grognard. I don’t like digital. Reading text on screen for extended periods makes my eyes tired.

My copy of the rulebook from AGAC is getting pretty beat up, so I’d like to replace it. Also, my buddy are looking to get into Alpha Strike and I’d love to have copies of the Quick Start rules for each of us. But, I don’t see POD options here or at Drive Thru RPG.

Am I missing something?

Not missing anything, no. They have yet to offer any rulebooks in PoD

They gave away the TGOAC rulebook as a pdf during the Kickstarter campaign, but I don’t think it has ever been sold anywhere.

The Alpha Strike QSR is already available for free on the main site here.

But it without  a Print on Demand option, which is specifically what I was asking about in my original post.

What are the reasons that you are looking into a physical copy? Just for the rules or visual candy? If it's just for the rules, take the pdf file and go to a copier's to print it out, if you don't have a printer at home.

Independent from the general availability of POD versions for a product range, you rarely see POD for stuff that is free to download.
And as razorclaw mentioned, you can always have it print using some print shop or online service.

Side question, I never used POD services on DTRPG or similar, what kind of print quality do you can expect in those cases? Is it the print shop print and bind quality or something more?

They’re essentially identical to the normal print runs as far as I can tell

I picked up POD copies for 1st and 2nd Succession Wars for a friend while getting other POD books recently, and did side-by-side comparisons with my copies.  The differences are:

Slightly different paper size
slightly lighter ink on the interior pages
updated indicia on the back cover
a couple of blank pages in the back of the book, one of which has print details and a QR code on it.

Unless you knew what to look for, I can't imagine anyone being able to distinguish a POD edition from the original one

There isn't a PoD option for the Alpha Strike Quick Start or the Game of Armored Combat rulebook, not are there plans to offer them. As others have stated, the Alpha Strike QSR can simply beer be printed. Your best bet with the Game of Armored Combat would be to photocopy it.

as an alternative, depending on copy effort it might be easier to pick up another box of AGoAC, it doesn't hurt having extras of the mechs and basic pieces.

Especially since the newest boxes have errata-corrected updated rulebooks.
