A LAM in Airmech mode is flying over an enemy Battlemech, and ends movement turn directly overhead.  It is my understanding that the range will be the difference between the two (considering the ground Battlemech to be 2 levels tall). Weapons mounted on the LAM legs and arms can be used to fire down and hits on the target Battlemech will be resolved on the punch table (front).

Is this correct?

If it can't be answered by the current IO beta rules or the 3085 Record Sheet volume, then you'll have to wait for the full IO release.

Was there a specific passage you were referring to?
