ASF vs DS bombing ?

    Scenario is Pirate DS Lansing on your planet, your 24 Centurion ASF, broke the pirate ASF, the pirate DS lands anyway.
So is a wing of 24 Centurion ASF capable of dropping omg enough bombs to take out a Union DS? A Fortress DS? An Overlords DS?
  All your pilots are Regular rated.
With 6 tons of HE each What would be the minimum Centurions you would need to pop the egg of a Union DS?

Assuming average to-hit results and location rolls, I feel confident in saying that an Overlord or Fortress targeted by such a large bombing strike can be very reasonably destroyed, or safely assumed to be crippled or a sneeze away from it. A Union or Leopard with that much HE dropped on it can be described as "confetti".

And more importantly, any ASFs that survive the first run can come BACK with more bombs...

Certainly a mediocre grouping of Boeing Jump Bombers is enough to put paid to a grounded medium DropShip, at least under older rulesets. All they have to do is crack the armor planet-side.
