Depends on where you left off.
Post-3067, you get the inner sphere getting embroiled in the word of blake Jihad. The Sphere clans take some damage from this, but it's non-fatal. They get baited into participating in the efforts to stomp out the blakists. Most of it is more or less the bare minimum amount of damage and battle required to make their situations resemble what we get told in MW Dark Age's backstory.
We haven't seen the home-clans since the events of the Wars of Reaving sourcebooks. Basically, while all that is going down in the Inner Sphere, it turns out that a scientist caste conspiracy called The Society has permeated most clans to varying degrees and after the inner sphere clans get abjured and the grand council descends into chaos, The Society decides this is their moment. Presence is heaviest in the Coyotes, most of whom are outright in cahoots with them. The Sphere Clans make a pretty boss exit, with some good old fashioned Wolf/Coyote cooperation going on. Some of the most vicious war that the homeworlds have ever seen, follows in the wake. The number of clans around gets winnowed quite a bit. And we haven't really seen much of the homeworlds in the wake of that. It goes way deeper than I can do justice in a forum post, but thats probably why it's got a sourcebook.
