We’re getting six initially with vol 06 on aug 28. No word on when exactly they restart but it will be in the fall. I think it said they’ll run though early next year

I feel like that's just something we're going to have to accept with these designs (aside from the odd star league or intermediate tech system). The same way we just had to accept the early mechs in ED Golden Century went the way of the dodo even when they were actually pretty great in some cases.

Clan tech peaked early, and didn't go anywhere for a long time afterward, so there's not a lot of room for older designs to just be inferior technologically, and it'd look weird if they were just badly designed.
