I’m really hoping the legends book will come out soon, as that looks like it will be a banger.
Not anytime soon.

It's been like this for years. When I check the shipping original it's always coming out of US.  I end up waiting till I see it show up on another retailer (Aries) or Amazon and get shipping for 1/3 to 1/4 of the costs.  Especially with the new CUSMA (USMCA) agreement I've seen shipping costs drop and no longer paying duty from other companies.

Something that I hope someone looks into someday.

Yes, I wish to support CGL directly, but when I'm paying $39 for a book, but then $41 for the shipping, I end going...nope, I'll wait and purchase local for half the price (half being NO shipping in this case)

I'll second that, if it's worth anything.

Everyone who wants a book but doesn't want to or can't pay that much shipping should ask your local store to order one, and not just wait for it to show up somewhere nearby.

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.

First - not gonna be snarky here, so please understand that.

Currently, with COVID, a lot of places in Canada are still closed, and shipping across the border is a lot longer than it was before.

Case in Point.

I ordered some FPG Decals for my mechs on April 24, 2020, they were mailed April 27, 2020. I finally received them around May 20th.

Same for any other order from the US. It seems Canada post/Canada Customs is force quarantining none produce shipments from the US.

So, while I would love to order from my Local Game store, they just aren't open yet due to Health restrictions.

I'm very nearly 100% certain they still have an email address.  And the biggest point to take away was "don't just wait for it to show up".  Demonstrate demand if you want it without having to pay big shipping bucks.

With an insane mark up like that, I'm surprised nobody here has tried starting a re-shipping business.  Maybe that's what I'll do after I retire, if they haven't fixed it by then...

Ah but you see, we are Canadian and the biggest thing you need to understand about is we don't complain. Sure we may do so here in the forums, but in the real world we smile and either accept it or we go elsewhere. We don't send food back at restaurants, we don't make scenes. We eat the steak and just don't come back.

Everyone who wants a book but doesn't want to or can't pay that much shipping should ask your local store to order one, and not just wait for it to show up somewhere nearby.

First local store only allows for special orders for a select handful of products.
Second local store doesn't do special orders at all.

Folks, I don't have the faintest idea what the issue is. My general understanding is that it's not on our end, but our fulfillment company. I'll see if I can get some answers. For now though, please drop the matter, it sucks but beyond that there really isn't anything to add to it. Thanks.

Question, is Tac Ops going to be coming to DriveThruRPG at all for PoD?  (or some similar thing?) Or will the Book only be available through the store (failing that is it too late to somehow get it added to my Clan Invasion purchase through contacting Catalyst?)

Failing all of that is printing a physical copy myself from the PDF version for personal use allowed via Terms of Use?

Plans could always change but your physical book options for the foreseeable future seem to be

1) CGL store
2) KS add on
3) your local store stocks it

Since the 'single print volume' version of the IlClan recognition guide  appears that it wont contain _everything_ from the PDFs...can I get DTRPG or something to print the PDF series in its entirety as a single object?

OOOO Fiction!

Not the Founding of the Clans 1 & 2 that is overdue but the hinted at Greywatch . . . eh, Academy story . . . Rock of the Republic giving Damien & the Remnant's story.  And a Vlad feature on taking all of the Kerensky icons away from the Homies.  Golden Century in June . . . Irregulars in July . . .

Wonder if we will get the missing 45/50 designs from the Recognition Guide- sounds like a great place to find the Orion C.

Lol, new fiction about the Falcons with a 'A. Pryde' as the main character.

And . . . heh, Scorpions are fighting with a deep periphery neighbor!

Hour of the Wolf- the fiction for the showdown we will get details on with ilClan.

WOOO!  Operation Guerrero on Sept 11th . . . oh, that is going to be fun.  It will be great to put that together for some MM combat.

Foxes are selling blueprints to 4 mechs- Dire Wolf, Timber Wolf, Warhammer and Phoenix Hawk!- in the 3rd quarter

And the list of 4th Quarter & Beyond-
Chaos Campaign: Battle of Tukayyid
Blood Will Tell by Jason Schmetzer
Spotlight On: The Stealths
Hunting Season by Philip A. Lee
Spotlight On: Snord’s Irregulars
Rogue Academy #3: Crimson Dawn by Jennifer Brozek
Touring the Stars POD compilation
Spotlight On: Payne’s Raiders
Map Pack: Alien Worlds
IlClan
MechCommander’s Handbook

Payne's Raiders- we find out what happened after Hall for the 'true' Tigers.

Love the upcoming releases, very much looking forward to the rest of the year.

Are the IlClan recognition guide books going to be entierly new material or are they going to be essentially TRO:SW / TRO:CI but with updated art?

(I am still pretty angry that I spent money on TRO:SW so need to make sure before I plan to buy)

I want essentially everything listed there. I just got more and more excited about all the releases coming out as I read about them. Brings back memories of the old days where we didn’t know what was coming and were eagerly awaiting how the universe was going to change.
