No, no. It ain't about you, particularly.

The problem is that, around these parts, supposition and possibility is often taken as ironclad truth. On top of which, things change fast. So citing a post that's even "just" six months old may be resurrecting a possibility others will latch onto, but that's long been overtaken by events. In those cases, my very professional communications policy is to kill it, tie rocks around it, and throw it in the river as quickly and definitively as possible.

Nothing personal towards you, though, Sartris! You're generally a calming influence around here.

@ Satris

These are the ones I'm looking for.

-Bonfire of Worlds
-BattleTech: Front Lines: BattleCorps Anthology, Volume 6
-Gray Markets
-BattleTech: Slack Tide: A BattleTech Anthology
-a bonfire of worlds

I'm in no rush...so long as POD remains an option and these eventually get re-offered (re-enabled?) in that format.

Epitaph on an Army of Mercenaries

These, in the day when heaven was falling,      Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
The hour when earth's foundations fled,         They stood, and earth's foundations stay;
Followed their mercenary calling,               What God abandoned, these defended,
And took their wages, and are dead.             And saved the sum of things for pay.

beachhead, yeah its been reported to TPTB and I think I complained to Amazon.

I think of them as a definition of a vanity project . . . its independently published, aka they paid rather than a legit publisher, but Amazon does not seem to care- platform vs publisher I guess.

It hasn’t. Current plan is to pair it with another Anthology (Gray Markets, Onslaught, Honor Road) for a POD at some point in the future.

Also, coming this Friday, June 5 in print and PDF - Tactical Operations: Advanced Rules and Tactical Operations: Advanced Units and Equipment.

Out of curiosity, will those of us who added these books to their pledge be receiving them upon release now? Or will they still be held until Wave 1 ships?

We are excited to announce that the first part of the novel Forgotten Worlds, The Hunt for Jardine by Herbert Beas II has been released as a digital story.

https://books2read.com/BattleTechTheHuntforJardine?fbclid=IwAR0MGl2bxzRk3pc3LLWpAwPaLRjLfIrexSHo_T8aIVZXe0WwLudPbZ53_M8

"BURIED IN THE ASHES OF WAR… Freelance explorer and treasure hunter Dr. Brooklyn Stevens has made her career finding lost artifacts from Inner Sphere history, but during the waning days of the FedCom Civil War, a job offered by the academic organization known as Interstellar Expeditions affords her the chance to pursue the find of a lifetime: a missing planet, one lost in the ravages of the brutal Succession Wars.
But the world of Jardine did not only die in fire—it was erased from stellar maps entirely, and Brooke’s employer wants to know why.
She must hunt down the only known link to this forgotten world: a dangerous predator native to Jardine, whose initial discoverer was silenced under mysterious circumstances. Someone wants this planet to remain buried—and they will go to any lengths to ensure that Brooke’s quest to uncover the truth of Jardine’s disappearance ends in tragedy."

Is this any different than what you let Herb post on the site a few months back?   ???
If so, in What way?

Does this mean you'll also be releasing/rereleasing Part 2 at some point?
If so, will IT be any different than has already been posted?

 ???

Other than incorporating some errata and splitting the information, will the T.O.'s have anything new?

Ray described the partition as a Solomon Chop™️ meaning the only real change will be the cosmetic after-effects of such an action - page numbers, table of contents, intro, and index (unless they’ve changed their minds on addition or removal of material)

If you’re happy with the current version and can deal with errata where the page numbers don’t line up you’ll probably be fine with the current version

Hard to do either of those in-character, what with nobody having ever found them and all.... ;)

- Herb

Fairly sure Interstellar Expeditions and/or Republic found the virus-ridden planet.

The other two, now those as far as I am aware were never found. But Jardine, Gabriel and Mayadi...

Just finished TTS Jardine. Great work there, both from the flavour point of view and the optional rules for playing in a truly apocalyptic world. Plus I loved the added fluff about the "Hidden worlds conspiracy" at the start and the great adventure seeds. This may be my favourite TTS yet.

So TTS: Tangrez/Mayadi?
I'd buy it. Jardine was a treat!

*sigh* I really miss doing AFD and Halloween projects...

Touring the Stars told you what anyone would know who went through the Jihad sourcebooks anyway. It doesn't really explain fully how the Forgotten Worlds serial went. Only so many words, y'know.

The Jihad sourcebooks told us it was basically turning into Mustafar.

Brooke escaping with a native however...I'd say that spoils the ending a wee bit.  ;)

I'm still looking forward to reading the rest of it.

Any word on when we'll be seeing the next installment?
I have spoken.

Oh! Damn, how rusty must my brain be? You're right, Deadborder and VhenRa! Tangerz/Mayadi HAS been found, as it's the plague planet! It was found during the Jihad, even.

... Hmm. I wonder what kind of adventure seeds would be applicable on a world that's so toxic, simply landing there is basically a death sentence?

Gabriel, on the other hand, is now just another addition to a gas giant's ring system in the already-populated Odessa system.

The Jihad sourcebooks told us it was basically turning into Mustafar.

Well, yeah, a wee bit of spoilage, but what can ya do?  I don't know the release schedule, but I'd wager it will probably be the kind of thing they do either biweekly or monthly? Don't quote me, though. I'm not an employee; I know barely any more than you do.

It'll be available in all formats on that date; we just got the universal link today and we're working on POD for that date as well. We'll put out an announcement with those links as soon as we're able.
