Infantry Targeting by era question
« on: 23 March 2019, 22:25:19 »
Vehicles have different targeting modifiers based on what kind of targeting system they have. That itself is partially based on when the vehicle was used. TechNical errata page 6.

My question is do infantry, especially those with field guns and field artillery, have the same kind of targeting modifiers?

For example would a pre-spaceflight field artillery infantry platoon firing Sniper artillery have a +2 modifier for no firing control system, or a +1 for a basic system?

If yes, how does one determine what kind of targeting system they should have?

This came up in discussing about WWII artillery and BT artillery. https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=64710.0

Is there something in Interstellar Ops that I missed because I don't recall ever seeing such modifiers for infantry before.

Thanks :)
