How to do a winter camo properly?(the white)
« on: 29 April 2019, 17:15:54 »
It's been decades since I took up a brush and a mini, so I'm bascailly starting from zero once more.  I wanted to paint a division of mech in winter camo and found this nice pattern on camospecs: http://camospecs.com/Miniature/Details/2506/hellbringer-loki---resculpt-variants

But after doing tests on 3 minis(mostly trying thin washes over a white base coat), I am not even close of being able to reproduce the gray/white.  Anyone can give me some tips on how to arrive at that result?

Basecoat with a medium gray, then drybrush light gray over that, then drybrush white over that.

Two piece of coal, a carrot, and a top hat.  Scarf is optional
