So that would be the Mustang (British design request and only worth using with a British engine) and the Corsair (only useable on a carrier once the British worked out how to land them without dying - all carrier landings are classified by the sane as crashes)

Ah, but the Corsair's Supremacy is not dependant up on its ability to be flown from a Carrier.

And it has little to no British input otherwise, which makes it significantly better. :P

Are folks still watching Castle; are you also concerned that it might be close to jumping the shark?  Dirty bombs, seriously?

I'm a bit concerned.  Last year's 2-parter (the serial killer targeting Nikki Heat, and Dana Delany as an FBI Profiler) was a ratings triumph for ABC.  They wanted to top it.  Frankly, the bomb went over better for me than the episode with the "alien conspiracy" theory.
Since it wasn't about aliens, and the UFOs end up Identified, that wasn't the issue.  The technology needed to stage the kidnapping of Castle and Beckett was too much a part of the X-Files and not sufficiently believable.
I've heard its already renewed for Season 4, which is why Fillion's talk of resurrecting Firefly is so shocking to me.

I wasn't so concerned about a Firefly distraction; I think he was simply identifying what he'd do if he had enough money to by Miami.  However, I think the Triple Killer storyline is far better than pushing a soldiers-gone-rogue scenario: poor taste if you ask me.  Someone on here had the great idea that Ryan's fiance (aka Dr Ian Devlin of General Hospital...via my wife) fits the target profile of the serial killer and unless they have left it for a season finale they blew it.

I love me some Castle.  But yes, the recent episode was a bit much.

I have some friends who just love Castle but I just can't get into it. It just seems like Fillion's character is too one/dimensional compared to his FireFly work where you saw him change into different things depending on the situation. From the bit that I have seen though, I do think it is one of the better shows on right now.

Oddly enough, my first model kit was a '57 Chevy. Strange. I almost became a car guy. How weird would that have been? Meh, had I stayed that course, Engineering Thermo with all the Otto and Diesel cycles would have killed it dead. The worst combination of Engineering and Accounting. And nothing remotely associated with Accounting is ever good, especially women accountants. But I digress. See, I totally got into aircraft models, though never WWII vintage. It was always modern aircraft for me: F117, AH-64, F5, F15, A10 (such a lovely piece of work. People have no eye for aesthetics), others of less note. Geez, I don't even build minis anymore. Nothing like a good wallowing!

The only model I ever had as a kid was a ww2-era Destroyer and I never finished it.  I was not born under a modeling star.

I did make a few models-the last one I completed was one of USS Missouri (BB-63) in World War II configuration.  I did a couple of carriers, USS Massachusetts (BB-59) after I'd went on her when I was five with my dad (that was a great Father-son bonding experience), and a few modern fighters.

That was me.  I'd first thought 3XK would go after Alexis, but she's a bit young and not blonde.  Ryan's fiance fits his MO.

Edit: Update on my Napoleonic Uniform Query of a few weeks past:
I've decided that since the British-Analogues (United Kingdoms of Mercia) will retain the traditional Lobsterbacks/Red Coats, I would explain the French-Analogue (Carolingia) Epithet by giving their Commoner Infantry bright green coats.  Sadly, I don't recall the origin of that one real world, but now I can explain why they use it in my game setting.

QFT, I suspend the disbelief as I see the show as a mystery novel made into one-hour show.

*sigh* Any one in the market for four second hand sisters?

And now the kingdom comes;

And I am a master of a nothing place,
Of recoil and grace.

I have to say that the F4U-4 was a great plane. But that version appeared after the war. [tickedoff] [tickedoff] [tickedoff] This angered me when I found it. Yes, that was my second model, Korean war vintage. Avoid Italieri kits at all costs.   [tickedoff]

She's a fork-tailed devil, isn't she?  Still hot, even if she is a bit of a lard-ass compared to her older sister.

Gentlemen, may I tax your brains a moment?

I'm looking to replace my DumbPhone and I'm a naif on these sorts of things.

Can I get a hand-held device that will serve as a phone and as an Internet device when in the presence of wifi, or am I forced to deal with some telecom's broadband service?

Do you carry devices that you can recommend?  Price is an issue for me, because I'm very, very cheap.

Thanks I guess. I shouldn't really be bothering you fellas with but it was so bemusing.... I'm not angry, just struggling to wrap my head around it. I'll leave it there.

Most (all?) modern smartphones can get on a wifi. Other than that, I'm not familiar with a lot of different phones, so I don't have much to compare to. Heard good things about the Incredible, but I use an iPhone myself.
