Reynard Battle Armor (Can someone check my math?)
« on: 11 June 2018, 17:30:31 »
Before I put any fluff or other BA designs in, can someone check the math on this?  It just seems 'too good to be true'

Code: [Select]
BattleArmor: Reynard Standard
Found in: null
Chassis: Reynard Standard - IS_TW_Non_Box (3079)
Intro year: 3079     Source: Matthew's fevered imagination
Movement: Walk 1 Jump 3
Weight: .73 (light)
Structure:                                                                       0.17500000000000002
Armor: 6 IS BA Stealth (Improved)                                 0.36
Equipment:
Gauss Rifle [David]                                        0.10
Needler (Firedrake)                                           0.05

TAG (Light)                                                   0.035
BA Manipulators/Battle claw (L/R)                                        0.015

It's from Megamek lab (I can't find my HMP install discs) but it seems almost better than the Grey Death infiltrator.  So the math can't be right.

The mass checks out, as does the slots...5 for improved stealth plate, 1 each for the David gauss rifle, Firedrake needler and light TAG makes 8 total, which is maxed for a light battle armor...

Sweet, now to find where I put the fluff.

It's not so strange that you managed to fit a lot more on it. The GD suit has a parafoil and a MWM (3 slots) that you don't carry.

Thought if you really want to abuse the system you'll drop the battle claw for armored gloves (all that's needed for light BA) and use the saved weight to upgrade the Firedrake to a LMG.

Except it can't do Fire damage, only Burst if you went LMG.
